I'm not usually one for internet reviews, but I wanted to share my negative experience at this Kay Jewelers location. My fiance and I were shopping for wedding rings and were assisted by a sales associate name Steven, who was rather unhelpful. When my fiance asked to try on a few different rings, the associate seemed annoyed by her questions. He asked if we were interested in getting a new engagement ring to replace her current one, and implied that the previous purchase was not of good quality. This elitist response made me feel as if the engagement ring I could afford wasn't "enough" in his opinion.
Despite these warning signs, my fiance found a couple of rings that she was interested in. The sales associate asked to see if we wanted to see if we were "pre-qualified" for financing through Kay. After he took down my information, he then let me know that I had been approved, and a line of credit had been opened in my name. At no time did I ask for a line of credit to actually be opened, as we had not made any final decisions about purchasing a product. They then told me it was too late to have this closed without the credit inquiry showing on my credit report. I had to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau to ask that this account be closed and for the inquiry not to appear on my credit report.
Because of the negative experience with store employees, and this unclear, predatory finance practice, I would not recommend shopping at...
Read moreBEWARE IF YOU NEED AN ITEM FOR A SPECIAL OCCASSION! As I walked in I was ignored by the assistant manager who was counting the till. Totally ignored until another sales person walked back into the store from the lunch break about 4 minutes later, at which point I contemplated on leaving. Doesn't seem like a long time but it was awkward not to even get a 'hallo'. I ordered a chain necklace on 3/9, fortunately it was not for any particular occasion, it was a 'just because' gift and I was told I was going to receive a call and it will be available for pick up by 3/15. On 3/20 I called the store 4 times at different times throughout the day before anyone even picked up the phone and was asked to call back 20 minutes later. My call was answered after the first ring and I was told the chain will not be available until 3/24. The following week on Monday 3/27 I attempted to call at least on 7 different occasions and finally was able to speak to someone around 7 p.m. They told me the item will be shipped from another store and will be available for pick up on 3/30. I received multiple apologies from the assistant manager. Today is 3/30 and I am 3 calls in, no answer. I hate giving bad reviews, especially since the lady that took my order was sweet, but the tone from the top is pompous and service delivery...
Read moreI would like to share my wonderful experience that I had at the Kay Jewelers located at the 1250 Baltimore Pike, Springfield, Pa.
My experience started with a telephone call to Kay Jewelers where I had the pleasure of speaking with Store Manager, Steven T. I was very upset because I had an issue with my engagement ring and he immediately advised that he would assist me with my issue. Later that day, I went to the store and met with Steven. He was calm, professional, patient, understanding all while reassuring me that I had nothing to worry about. Steven explained that he would send my rings to get fixed, which he did. I cannot thank Steven enough for going above and beyond to help me. Words cannot express my gratitude.
I went to pick up my rings today and met with Jazmine. She was just as wonderful as Steven. She inspected my rings to make sure all was done to my satisfaction (which it was). She was extremely knowledgeable and patiently addressed all my concerns.
Steven and Jazmine provided superb customer service. A frustrating situation turned into a positive experience. If you want to an VIP experience, please visit the Kay Jewelers in the Springfield Mall in Pennsylvania and ask for Steven or Jazmine. Both are absolutely amazing. Kudos to the team at...
