Zumiez — Local services in Springfield Township

The mall employees are great overall but two stuck out to me that I had to leave a review.

Alex and Alyssa are really helpful and had really great customer service skills. Alex greeted me as soon as I walked in the store and even told me the specials immediately and Alyssa greeted me and also came over and spoke with me. Alex made sure I knew all of the sales going on and where and tried assisting me with shopping for my son. As a person in sales I really appreciate this work ethic and level of customer service. Now fast forward - I didn’t buy anything at Zumies however I lost my keys somewhere and went back there and they immediately started helping me. Alyssa asked the last store I had them and Alex started searching the floor. They told me to go to the last store and if they couldn’t find them to come back. It was closing time on Christmas Eve and while most employees wanted to close up and go home - completely understandable. All they wanted to do was help and make sure I found them. Thank you to both of you - you helped stay calm and find humor in the situation. You went above and beyond tonight by showing me your humanity and compassion....

The worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. This is a dying mall, so you’d expect stores to treat customers with phenomenal care — but not here. Two employees, I believe their names were Jackob and Sarah, introduced themselves and oddly said, ‘Give me something to do’ — not exactly the welcoming tone I was expecting.

I was browsing the new Ed Hardy t-shirts and went to ask about the price since it wasn’t visible. Both employees were behind the skateboard case, openly hitting a THC cartridge. The store reeked of weed. I looked at them in disbelief and immediately left.

There were other customers in the store, none of whom were greeted. It’s clear these employees just see this as a paycheck and have zero interest in professionalism or the structure of the business. Completely...

I came to visit the springfield mall for the first time and was shocked by how empty this mall is, which is very different to the mall I usually go to. One thing that isnt empty is the friendliness and how welcoming Jacob and Alyssa were at this zumiez. They truly made me feel right at home and answered all my questions that I had about getting my first board. They were willing to take the time and help me with the chillest attitude that made me feel super comfortable! Very knowledgeable!
