Nestled in the heart of Springfield, the Springfield Mall holds a special place in the community's heart. Despite its smaller size and the shifting landscape of retail, this mall manages to maintain a surprisingly steady flow of visitors. While the quality of stores may not be what it once was, there's still a charm to be found within its walls.
One of the highlights of the Springfield Mall is the addition of a Target, which has become a beloved anchor for shoppers. The convenience of having a well-stocked Target within the mall is undeniable, and it adds a modern touch to the traditional mall experience.
It's interesting to note that the mall seems to be more popular now than it was two decades ago, with a noticeable increase in foot traffic. Perhaps it's the rise of nostalgia or the desire for a convenient place to spend time, but whatever the reason, the bustling atmosphere is palpable.
For those who enjoy leisurely strolls and window shopping, the Springfield Mall offers a pleasant environment. It's a great spot to spend time when you have a few hours to spare and want to immerse yourself in a bit of retail therapy.
However, it's worth mentioning that prices at the mall tend to be on the higher side, reflecting the typical markup associated with mall shopping. For this reason, many visitors, like myself, prefer to use the mall for browsing rather than purchasing.
Overall, Springfield Mall may not be the shining beacon of retail it once was, but it still holds a special allure for those seeking a taste of nostalgia or simply a place to pass the time. With its mix of old-school charm and modern amenities, it's a destination worth exploring for both locals and...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreKids footlocker - Bunch of young kids working when I visited today..... Iāve been to this mall several times and to this store. BUT today was different. I feel as though they were not trying to exchange my sneakers on purpose and gave me the run around for no reason at all.. Even though I had the receipt and matching sneakers. So what happened was ... I was at Springfield mall today to return/exchange some gifts from Xmas. I already checked with footlocker- they didnāt have the size I needed I check with kids footlocker. I was told by one worker I can exchange them without the receipt --so I get to the register the girl looks at me funny, she proceeds to checking me out then she informs me that I MUST have the receipt to do an exchange. About 45 minutes later I return with the ORIGNAL receipt (not the gift receipt) I had to track down my sibling for it š. I approach the register again this time itās the young boy that was there when I first came in. He then tells me I CANT do a return OR exchange because the sneakers are from a different mallās footlocker (I found that weird but didnāt question it or react). He goes into the back for a little. Then return with the same girl that told me I could exchange them without the receipt.. She tells me the same thing the boy told me -ALTHOUGH I had the receipt and the correct sneakers. So I gladly took my sneakers and went back to footlocker and they helped me get a refund- I was fed up and didnāt even want the darn sneakers anymore. maybe Iām being dramatic...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI stopped in at the mall and parked by Targets so that I could browse thru the mall as my destination was Macy's. I arrived about 5pm and was surprised by the number of people who were there already shopping. I guess many of them stopped on their way home from work to get some of their holiday shopping completed. I went to the men's department in Macy's and purchased a pair of shoes. It must be the season but the salesman was swamped and another salesman, Dan, came into the department to coordinate something with the swamped salesman. Dan pitched in and began helping within the department. I was one of the customers he assisted and I am very grateful. Dan provided the assistance with great cheer and a very friendly smile. He is to be commended for his actions. I for one wish him the happiest of holidays. As I completed my shopping I was working my way back to my car. Since I wasn't any longer preoccupied with my own objective, I now couldn't help but notice the Christmas village set up in the middle of the mall where children would be lining up for pictures with Santa when he returned from dinner. The decoration was beautiful and was very representative of the brilliance of the coming holidays. I had a wonderful visit to the mall today. I'm sure that most of you are in need of making purchases during this season of giving. Stop in the mall and if nothing else enjoy the sights and sounds of the holiday season as presented by the management of the...
