What a great experience. We arrived at 11:05am, 5 minutes after they opened. There was one family already there as we where seated. Everything was clean, modern, and ready for customers. We have a small child and the waite staff made sure to accommodate us. The waitress took our drink orders as soon as we where ready and I asked to get the fried ravioli as an appetizer. We received our drinks and ordered a small potato and bacon with white sauce pizza. A few minutes later the ravioli arrived. The fried ravioli was great. It had a very crispy exterior with a slightly spicy creamy cheese inside. We all enjoyed the ravioli. Over the next few minutes a few more families came in to have lunch. I noticed all of them had small children. Its nice to see a reasturant full of families. Our pizza arrived and looked awesome. Tasted awesome to. When we where done eating our waitress brought us a box for the leftovers and made some recommendation for futur visits due to this being the first time we have eaten here. She made some good suggestion that we will try when we return. My takeaway for this experience is House of pizza is a sit down, family reasturant. They provide great customer service and the food is great. The menu is not overly complicated and is fairly priced. On a side note, many reviews said they where over priced. I would like to put this into perspective. My wife, child and I got a pizza that serves 2-3 people, an appetizer, and 3 drinks. This cost 31 dollars. Thats a great deal. If you know how to order for the size of your group it will cost you about 10 dollars per person. Unfortunatly the gluttens tend to bicker about price cause 1 person will order a whole large specialty pizza for themselves when they are used to paying 5 dollars for garbage pizza from littleseizers. Try this place if you haven't. Order apropriatly and you will be happy...
Read moreI called a day in advance to make a reservation for my husbands birthday with family. It was a group of 10 at prime dinner time, so I wanted to be courteous and give notice (I am a server and I know how much that is typically appreciated). When I called, I was asked what side I preferred to be on. I was so thankful that question was asked because my husband loves the bar side and we wanted a high top table, with all of the TV’s. It’s just the kind of atmosphere we wanted, as opposed to the other side. I’m assuming the workers know this, otherwise why ask? They took down my name and number and confirmed the time and location of our table. When we game in with our group, both hostesses had no idea what we were talking about when we said we had a reservation. They said they had no openings for us on the side we reserved, but could put us in “a corner” on the other side. I said very politely that I was confused because that’s not what we were told over the phone. The hosts then went and got a manager (Katie?) and she told me that there was “no record that you called”. I even confirmed the phone number that I called to make sure I had the location correct. Katie was extremely rude to our entire group. We sat at the table we were assigned to, and never once were asked if we wanted refills on our drinks, so we had to walk to the other side of the restaurant to order our drinks at the bar. I normally would not make a big deal about this, but at the restaurant I work at, when it’s clear YOU, the business made an error (big or small), you make it right. We will likely not return and I recommend management looks into the communication of this place. Don’t ask guests where they prefer to sit and then CONFIRM that’s where they’ll be, and then make them feel 2 inches tall when they come in for...
Read moreBuckle up, this is gonna be an experience. Myself and 3 girlfriends decided to eat here one night. Each got a pop, 3.29 a glass after tax. We split a cheese bread which was 8.00, plus the extra for dipping sauce. It was okay, not the best. It was lacking in garlic flavor. My two friends ordered a large pizza which was over 50 for one pizza! I got the lasagna and our other friend received a salad. The pizza wasn’t anything to rave about. It actually tasted similar to Gary’s pizza, just wrapped up and pretending to be more fancy than it is. I can tell you the lasagna is not fresh. The clearly make it a head of time, and either freeze it or put it in the fridge then probably heat it up and cover it in meat sauce and serve. Except the didn’t heat up my lasagna, just put the meat sauce over it. The salad was large, but not large enough to be charging 14 for it, some of the lettuce was browning. The service was so so. We sat with our glasses empty waiting for the bill, my friend got up to see what was taking so long, noticed the kitchen staff on phones texting, or watching the national anthem at what we assume was some sort of sporting event. But you could also see that the kitchen is not the cleanest. I’m surprised we didn’t get sick. Two of the plates we received and the pizza pan had dried stuck on food. We eat out at a new restaurant every month and frankly this is the lowest score I’ve ever given any one. The quality of the food just does not meet the criteria to be asking what...
