I would hate for one bad apple to hurt the entire bunch as all of the older stylists at this facility provide a great customer experience but I would be remiss to not describe the worst haircut experience I have ever had: I checked in online and walked into the salon at the top of the list. My name was called right away by a female stylist in her 30’s. When she identified her chair I asked where to put my coat and hat and she replied: “over there”. She never told me her name or was in the mood to talk from the start. She asked me what we were doing today and I replied: “I usually do a 4 on the sides and blend the top into the sides. I probably have notes from my last time here.” She didn’t even look for past notes and just replied: “a number 4 on the sides.” I asked her how her day was going and she just replied “fine, how about you?” I continued small talk and eventually just stopped talking, it was too painful, she was just oozing with rudeness. Then I finally asked about using some texture scissors at the end of the cut and she responded “do you realize that’s why your hair looks thin on the top?” I didn’t know what to say to that. She hurried my cut and after 10 minutes said “is that short enough?” I said I need my glasses and she asked where they were. I told her with my coat where she replied: “that’s a great place to keep your glasses” in a sarcastic tone. Finally I inquired myself about purchasing the American Crew defining paste which was sold out. I asked what was similar and she said the other product that is sold out was the closest solution. She was completely useless, normally stylists are proactive about selling product in store. The other hair stylists seemed surprised with my patience. My receipt said my stylists name was Dorothy but I’m not convinced she checked into the register properly considering she did everything else wrong. The actual hair cut was not bad but her attitude honestly ruined my day. I recommend she be terminated as soon as possible. Sincerely, haircut victim 1/19...
Read more5 stars for Jeannette. I went in for a simple buzz cut and had not been to a salon since Covid started messing things up (lucky enough to have a family member help me out who was not feeling up to it this time). I do understand different salons have different policies and had actually prepared myself to walk out if I saw no masks but decided instead to ask if I'd be out of line to ask if the stylist would be willing to wear a mask. First person indicated they'd wear a mask if they had one but didn't have one and started asking around. Then I asked if they'd be willing to disclose their vaccination status. They said they're not supposed to answer that. Again, I understand. At this point another stylist came out to let me know they're not wearing masks or disclosing vaccination status so if I'm not comfortable I should go someplace else. I was not making a fuss, but I continued standing there trying to find a compromise that would make me comfortable, hoping someone would offer to wear some sort of face covering or volunteer vaccination status (even though I made it clear I understood it was not required) so that I could get this long overdue haircut. Then Jeannette came out and volunteered her vaccination status and offered to cut my hair. Thank you, Jeannette, for understanding the difference between you do not HAVE TO disclose your status and VOLUNTEERING your status in order to make your clients comfortable. And if the policy at Great Clips, or at least at this location, is to absolutely NOT disclose and NOT wear masks, then shame on you and 0 stars. Covid is still out there and making people very sick and people have a right to make an informed decision on where to...
Read moreI went in a couple of days ago to get a haircut due to my usual salon being booked up. This is the worst haircut I have ever had in my lifetime at 38 yes old. My hair was braw strap length (it’s curly and when wet or straightened is braw strap). I asked for 2.5 inches to be taken off. The stylist was a girl named Kat. I noticed she started cutting really big chunks of hair and immediately look down! I see big hair chunks as long as 10 plus inches!!! I look up at my hair in shock! I tell her this is not 2.5 inches! She says “those are just the layers”. I look around at all of my hair chunks scattered throughout the floor and none of them was 2.5 inches. They were all at least 10 inches!!! My hair has not been this short since I was 3 years old. I look like a scarecrow. I cannot even put my hair properly in a bun or ponytail because the upper part is too short and it barely reaches the hairband. My hair barely reaches the bottom of my neck! I could have had my toddler cut it and she would have done a better job. This stylist needs to go to haircut school again, and she should never be left unsupervised to touch another head of hair ever again! Instead of apologizing for what she did, she didn’t give a damn and continued to...
