This was easily one of the nicest hotels I’ve ever stayed at. I had to make a last minute change of hotels, so we booked pretty late. For this reason, the rooms were expensive. However, it was well worth our money. The hotel is gorgeous and the front desk, concierge, and room service were great.

Pros: Gorgeous hotel w/ clean rooms, fresh towels and sheets each day, dark curtains, beautiful pool, strong drinks, awesome amenities, and helpful and accommodating staff. We were able to check in nearly 3 hours early and they allowed us a late check out, as we had a very late flight that day. I think we got charged $50, but not sure yet. I don’t mind, we were able to stay until 2 PM. They also held onto our luggage at the front while we spent our last day at the pool. Soft sheets, mini fridge, comfortable bed. We also had a little attached living room with a couch, desk, and mini fridge. We had no idea our room would have this, so that was a nice surprise. Pool was beautiful, cool, deep, and clean. There were plenty of towels available. The location was nice and felt safe. We don’t know a whole lot about the area, but I felt safe the entire time. Nice view of Forest Park across the street. Oh and there were little details like a “beauty package” with sponges to remove makeup, a shower cap, and q-tips. Not to mention a walk in closet as well. Shower didn’t just have those tiny bottles of travel sized shampoo, conditioner, and body wash but actual large dispensers. This was a huge pro! Location was good, about 15 minute Uber ride from Busch Stadium. We didn’t do much exploring so I couldn’t tell you if there was a whole lot around the hotel, but I know the zoo is right there and it’s free.

Now for the cons—most of these were out of their control and I wouldn’t dock a single star for it. However, still worth a mention as I think constructive criticism is always good for improvement. The food we ordered up to room service wasn’t great. I had a sandwich and my husband had a wrap. We asked for waters (with our luck, we were there during an insane heat wave where the humidity was off the charts. Even coming from Texas where its been over 100 degrees for a solid month, I was sweaty and incredibly thirsty) and two different times of asking we still didn’t receive our waters. I get the feeling that since COVID many hotels are short-staffed so I get it. It was just a recurring theme of not receiving waters after asking at the bar as well. That brings me to the bar. It’s gorgeous, they played live music most nights, and the drinks are great. The cons? There were several weddings in town and I guess the wedding guests were all staying at the hotel b/c it was slammed. On our last day I stood at the bar for over 20 minutes and was constantly overlooked and not served while patrons who had just walked up were being served. I noticed if I sent my husband to get the drinks, he was served much faster. Didn’t love that. I understand being slammed and understaffed, but to have the bartender look at me several times and still help another patron wasn’t the best feeling. I come from service industry and I know how horrible it can be to be incredibly busy, so I’m going to chalk it up to that. I wish the pool and pool bar were either connected or that servers could take orders by the pool. Again, maybe this was something the hotel used to do and stopped after COVID. But I had to put my shoes on with wet feet and put clothes on every time I wanted another drink by the pool. This was kind of a pain and maybe there’s a more efficient way? Not to mention, the bar by the pool (which is also the bar for the rest of the hotel) could use a serious blast of AC. I felt bad for the bartenders, servers, and patrons. It was very muggy in there.

Besides those little quirks, I would literally return to St. Louis simply to go back to this hotel. It was pure elegance and so clean. A storm came out of nowhere and ruined our pool day, which was sad. We played some chess next to the in-house movie theatre instead. All in all, It really was a...

I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN NOT EVEN FOR $5 a night

From the booking of the hotel until that morning after I had the worst experience. I book the hotel, and the price for the room is not correct from what I saw on the site. They charged me $80 more a night. I got that fixed after calling 2-3 times with no answer. They took my first nights room 3 weeks early and never said they would require that in the beginning. I literally spoke on the phone with them and nothing about that was mentioned. So I just get an unexpected charge. I have to call over and over again to contact anyone.

When I showed up to the hotel, I was charged another $120 in case I trash the hotel room I get it. But They send you a full email explaining your reservation, but leave that part out.. when I was told this I asked the front desk professional to not charge my card yet because I needed to move money and let my roommate know of this new development. She said ok, then I literally right as I walked away from the counter and she charged my card(it was on file of course).

Next I have to wait in line 10 min to come back up to tell her she charged it and asked her why and she swore up and down she didn’t. I asked for a manager at this point as I’m trying to keep it cool. The manager assured me my bank is wrong and that they didn’t charge my card. So I’m like ok if you say so. She then charges $60 more for accidentals on top of the $120. Once she does that I show her my mobile banking and show her that not only was the $352.61 charged for the second room, but another $120 for in case I do damage to the room, and $60 on top of that. I asked them like what the heck now my trips budget is blown bc of all this extra charges I wasn’t made aware of along with payment mistakes you guys made.. and let me tell you, they couldn’t have cared less about it. I was kinda shocked, I expected more from the communication (I know some hotels require a deposit, some don’t) but if you do then please send it in the email so I can plan ahead.

Lastly on the day I check out they try to charge me $232 more on my card, but lucky for me I thought to lock my card. The charge came in at like 3AM. They said it was the system doing some charge that I forgot the name of. But once again the staff showed so little care to how their small mistake, cause me a big headache.

I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN NOT EVEN FOR $5 a night.

I will say the accounting employee, Lincoln was great help to me. And the hotels design and rooms are...

Unfortunately my Family and I had a Horrible Experience as We reserved and paid for a Nights Stay Following a Dance/ Prom. The Facility is part known for Prom Send offs and School Dances. However we were poorly treated as if we were not paying customers by three individuals whom include Kevin a security Guard whom aggressively approached “DoYOU ALL HAVE A ROOM HERE” told us “You must sign a contract to take pictures here” which I later found out was not fully true or at all and have proof of numerous pictures being taken this day May,3 2025 he also advised security would be called if we did not leave. Without proper cause . I then found out that this approach was due to Lydia whom for some reason is also named Estefania Gil whom never acknowledged her title however walked up rudely with a cavalier smirk on her face acknowledging she was the Cause and Failing to confirm or even acknowledge we were in fact Paying customers. customers whom were approached as if we were loiters and or a homeless family whom was unable to afford stay at Chase park plaza and wasn’t worthy of a Good experience while staying. I was provided a name Amy and advised to call the next morning however upon my attempt a Snobby voice picked up the phone failing to address herself and stated in an unwelcoming tone “Mam you’ve already spoke with three Managers and hung up on me I ask her name she advised Caitlyn Crimi never that she was a manager she then hung up on me . As for my knowledge I spoke with one manager whom provided me with Amy’s number and I was refused the ability to speak with her . Sad part if these individuals were managers yet failed to acknowledge this improper experience continuing to treat me with Bias as if we did not pay to have a good experience and again as if we were not Worthy of such . I was told there was nothing she could do . We paid for services that were not provided nor properly Rendered. I feel as thought funds were taken and I had to get them to understand we in fact had a room which was paid for not a family that just walked into their facility. I am Extremely upset my Sun (Son) had to experience such ill willed behavior which was racially charged I have video and proof and would like this to be handled properly or I will be in contact with the BBB , Consumer Affairs , the Division of Human Rights and whomever...
