Just left this store for the second time today. Came in and saw âAll cake decorating supplies 30% offâ and bought a bunch. I was distracted by children at checkout, husband paid and we went on our way. I asked what we spent and when he told me the amount, it was about twenty bucks more than I thought we had accumulated in our cart. At our next stop I examined the receipt and saw two of our items hadnât been discounted. (We only bought one thing that was not a cake decorating supply, so it was easy to see the error). Called the store and was told to come back and the discount refunded. We arrived, went to refund counter and the lady (Megan?) said these two items couldnât be discounted. One was already on sale (I hadnât seen that, but ok) and the other was not the brand that was on sale. However, the sign said ALL, and was not brand specific. We told her there was one other item we wanted to look at and as we were on our way, noticed all of the sale signs had been removed from that aisle. Convenient, donât you think? I was going to take a picture for proof and stand my ground as the items I had were not cheap and the 30% discount is the entire reason I got them! Asked to speak to a manager. A man in approximately his 30âs, kind of bald with what appeared to be a sandy hair color was of no help when we explained the situation. All of the sudden the signs were no where to be found and even though over the phone we were told we were due a refund for the sale amount, now that we are back to get it, itâs not doable. He wouldnât budge, no customer service skills whatsoever. Never mind that we live 40 minutes away and have now wasted two trips to this dishonest âCYAâ sign removing store... I returned the two items in question and got a full refund and wonât be back to...

I used to love coming to this Hobby Lobby when I lived in Saint Matthews. I stopped in to look at the jewelry section. I grabbed a few things (3 or 4) but ultimately didnât purchase anything⌠The manager kept following me when I went from aisle to aisle. I guess she realized I noticed so she walked away and then another employee started following me throughout the store. I felt uncomfortable which is why I ultimately decided not to buy anything. As I was walking out of the store the manager very loudly said, âAwww youâre not going to buy any jewelry? What happened to it?â I responded no, it wasnât exactly what I was looking for. She smirked and told the employee next to her (the same one that had been following me) that I probably stole it. Never in my life has this happened to me. I am very obviously a Hispanic woman but I am light/medium complexioned. I was wearing a basic black top, joggers, my black winter coat and white shoes. I wasnât disheveled or anything similar. Needless to say, I will not be stepping foot in this store ever again and I would advise women of color against doing so. I valued coming to hobby lobby because of their Christian values so this certainly comes as a...
Read moreThey have most things I need for any hobby I want to do and/or skill I want to learn. The best thing was that 40% off any one item of your choice on any transaction. I hate that they quit doing that. There things can be a bit pricier than amazon, but they are cheaper than Joanne's and have more hobbies than any other local shop. When I wanted to learn to sew and design clothing they had everything from machines from high to low end and everything else I needed. Their selection of accessories for sewing any thing is great! Then when I learned to knit and crochet they again had a huge selection of supplies and yarn. Then when I m it Villiersme with wreath making, veil making, wood burning, cricut crafts, vinyl crafts, shirts and other apparel, painting of all types, latch hooking and so much more I've learned to cultivate my mind and who I was and what I loved. They make it really easy to make anything! Everyone should have a hobby to have a little escape or stress relief from the stresses of the demanding day to day responsibilities. I even found a way to start an etsy store and I've done great! It's been a regular part of my hobby-ing. This place is great, but bring back that...
