I am disabled with terminal Lou Gehrig’s disease. My fine motor skills are affected where I am unable to do certain tasks with my fingers and hands. So I went to the gift wrap upstairs in the back of the store and asked them if they could wrap a gift I bought for my elderly mother. I wanted options 7, which cost $9. The white girl with curly hair , wearing a Covid mask, said they do not get wrap items not purchased at Dillards. I don’t understand because they charge for gift wrapping and I was willing to pay. As a disabled person, I do not have the luxury to walk around to find other places in the mall. Also the few handicapped parking spots were full. I tried to walk to Macy’s, but after my affected left foot kept catching on the polished floors, I returned and asked to speak to a manager.. The manager did assist and thankfully, the fragrance department was able to assist and gift wrap, which I appreciate. However, I am not satisfied with the way that gift wrap and customer service handled the situation. I will not be returning to this location. I was upset, overwhelmed, frustrated and embarrassed. It was so bad, that I could barely speak. It didn’t help when a pompous off duty police officer got involved, either. Handicapped individuals are protected by the Americans with Disabilities Act. And if this is a policy of Dillard’s, I would seriously reconsider it because that is not acceptable customer service.
The store manager, and one of the ladies at the fragrance counter were very helpful and...
Read moreI had ordered a pair of shoes and 3 days later they went on sale. I called customer service and they told me they couldn't adjust the price of the shoes that I had yet to receive because I bought the last one in a size 10. Although there were shoes in stock in all the other sizes, I guess I ordered the last 10. She said" If i had purchased a size 9 or any other size that I still in stock that she could adjust the price. This doesn't make sense to me, I clearly ordered that last 10 and the shoe still had other sizes available but she couldn't adjust my size 10 price. NONSENSE!
So when the shoes came in I took them to the Dillards to have them return the shoes and allow me to purchase them at the price it currently was in store. The assistant manager told them not too do it for me. Why i don't know, for his own personal reasons. He was giving me bull about it being Dillards policy but couldn't show me where the policy was stated. I told him that I have returned and purchased an item right back in the past with no problems so why the headache now?
The assistant manager at "THE MALL AT STONECREST" in Lithonia, Georgia was named: BOBBY DIEHI who was extremely difficulty and rude to customers of Dillards. Its a shame that I had to drive to another Dillards to get the customer service I asked for. This will more than likely be my last purchase from Dillards. I rather go to Macy's were I haven't had...
Read morethis was an online pick up at the Gift wrap counter in home goods on the second floor.
I was not greeted when I stepped to the counter, rather coldly stared at as if I were an inconvenience to them instead of a customer that they should provide customer service to. I spoke and said "I'm here for a pickup." They both walked off. A few moments later the shorter woman with braids returned. I was pulling up my email and noticed her presence and asked "were you waiting on me" and she stated "yes!" very curt and matter of factly with a nasty attitude. I wouldn't know because she never said anything. She had an rf scanner and then scanned my email, and went to retrieve my order. All In all, it was not a good experience and I will not be using dillards for any more of my purchases. I could've found this same cologne at one of my go to fragrance websites for cheaper and without the attitude. I haven't purchased a fragrance from dillards in years. I was reminded why i stopped shopping with this store. Nasty, rude, cold, and dry is not what you should experience when spending your money at any establishment. Dillards will end up going the way of sears eventually. It's inevitable. Good riddance.
Zero stars but one was given for the...
