UH Streetsboro Health Center — Attraction in Streetsboro

Our family has been going to this location for several years. Over the last 2 years the level of service and competence has gone down dramatically. Randomly last year during the height of the first wave COVID crisis the Doctors randomly changed my husbands blood pressure medication with no explanation as blood pressure was in control on current dosage. My husband questioned it and the receptionist or practioner swore to my husband that it was indeed correct. He followed the new prescription. Shortly after taking the updated prescription - my husband developed a severe case of Gout. He called the medical center for help and they directed him to go to a med center as they were not taking appointments. After researching online - it was found that the medication that was doubled was known to cause gout and could cause kidney stones. He had a kidney stone shortly after being prescribed the doubled medication. After finally getting an appointment with the doctor it was found that the doubling of the prescription was indeed an error and that the water HCZT component was supposed to eliminated. The doctor blamed the mistake on the office staff - nurse practitioner. Medication was changed to what was intended and everything seemed to be working well. In March 2021 the office contacted him that his doctor has taken a leave of absence and that they wanted for him to see nurse practioner. He asked to see another doctor and they said none were available. He said then I need to cancel his appt and find new doctor. He called to cancel the visit with nurse practioner & 1 week later and they said now they had a doctor available. Long story short - they would not refill his prescription and he went for 1 week gapped of his prescription. Our whole family has changed to new doctors in the Cleveland...

Dr walters did a fabulous job. The nice lady's in the OT department are excellent. Kaitlyn and Olivia helped me regain range of motion and strength in my right hand following surgery on my extensor tendon. I do hvac for a living and my right hand is obviously essential to daily duties. They listened and took my concerns seriously and helped tremendously. Just like every other industry there is good and bad service, the health care industry is no different. All the health care professionals here treated me kindly, they cared about how it affected my family, they cared about how I was handling work with restrictions, and they cared about how I was doing as a whole and not just how my hand was doing. Doctor Jennifer Carrol is amazing, that being said not sure if you can get your bloodwork done somewhere else but I would highly recommend it the lady we had to do bloodwork on my girlfriend was rude and had no personality very short and must have been having a bad day cause she was sure taking it out on us in fact the whole bloodwork team seemed very annoyed at the fact that they have a job to do and people to help if you dont wanna deal with people why get a job where your working with people in there time of need!
