I have gone to this store about 7 times, the first time I went was when the store opened and it was active and the staff was VERY cheerful and I spent quite a bit of money. Fast forward to yesterday, 8/23/22, around 5:00 pm, there was not one other shopper in the store and the 3 young ladies that were standing behind the counter DID NOT acknowledge my presence once...not even a "hello"! Now let it be known that they chatted very enthusiastically with their friends who came into the store but NOT me, the customer. The employee's lack of response to me as a customer leads me to believe that my business is not welcomed and , unfortunately, this has been my experience the last 6 visits out of my 7. Once I asked to see something in the case and the worker acted as if I annoyed her by asking her to take it out for me to view and as if I could not afford the item. What she should have understood is I shop resale because I like to find exceptional and unique pieces of clothing NOT because I HAVE to!!!! I have visited the Johns Creek location and the experience was drastically different and I believe I would rather drive out of my way than to visit this Buford store ever again. I will continue to patronize Rag-O-Rama, Plato's Closet and Clothes Mentor as they seem understand the importance of customers and customer service. I would also like to point out that I am not sure if there is a race issue with the employees but it appears that in these reviews, the minority customers seem to have the biggest issue.....this makes me pause completely about spending my money...
Read moreCongratulations to anyone who had a pleasant service from this store. Unfortunately, I didn’t. I called before I came. Gentlemen answered the phone. I explained I found them online. After cleaning out my closet, I had three high-end items to sell. I asked if they were anything like Plato’s Closet. He stated, no. He has heard bad things about them from clients. I stated if I bring an old $5,000 Chanel bag in, you’re not going to waste my time and offer $80 bucks like Plato’s closet? (Inside joke) He said no way and explained the process to me. I told him I just wanted to be sure before I drive 30 mins of my time. He said, okay, just make sure you are here by 5:30pm because we close at 7:00pm. I said, I’ll be there before then, after I pick my daughter up from school.
Fast forward, get there, no one greet. I wait at the counter 15 mins with no approach. Finally, I said… Do I need to sign in or something? Young lady took another 10 mins and got me checked in. 10 mins later Black guy with piercings and large holes in his ears call me to the counter. I recognized his voice. He stated, as much as I’d like these items, they are just to upscale for us. Celine is worth thousands. Duh 🙄 why do you think I asked you all the questions before coming? It cost 30 mins of premium gas there and back.
Moral of the story, they’re under new management and it’s a mess. Find somewhere else to go. My first...
Read moreAfter reading a similar instance with another shopper, I decided to post my experience. I've only visited this store 2 or 3 times. My last experience left a bad taste in my mouth. I received a text about a sale that was going on, so I decided to look and found a few items I liked, all on sale. When the young lady rung me up, I immediately noticed there was a difference in the amount my balance came up to be and what I had roughly estimated prior to check out. As to not hold the line up, I went ahead and paid, figuring it'd be best to pay, review the receipt, and then have one of the two employees look into this difference and give me a refund. So I indeed paid, and noticed that the discount didn't apply to one of the items I'd gotten that was discounted. So I get back in line, and the employee tells me she cannot refund it, I would have store credit instead, because it was their policy. I was flabbergasted, because it was obviously a mistake on their end, but FURTHERMORE, I never stepped foot outside the store, so I obviously wasn't able to even wear it. So I asked if, given the circumstances, they would make an exception, as I do not shop there often at all. The employee asked her coworker to take over and left. The other girl just gave me store credit. She didn't apologize. And that was that. I didn't shop there often then, and much...
