SEPHORA — Attraction in Summerlin South

Overall, 1/10. Still pretty upset about it. My friend and I were walking around Summerlin Mall, seeing what was on sale, or what we've been meaning to buy for a while. After a few stores, and some shopping, we headed into Sephora where my friend saw the Charcoal Mask she's been meaning to buy got a month. She puts it on the back of her hand, and we proceed to walk around Sephora for a while, while the mask dries. I'm not really interested in anything, but I'm looking around for some blush and lip color ideas for Fall. After about 15 minutes of walking around, we stop at one spot and my best friend decides to peel the mask off her hand. It's a bit messy, but no big deal. Anyway, while this is happening, an older woman approaches us (blonde hair, age from late 40's to mid 60's. From how close she was standing, I could see the wrinkles so i want to say 60's). She looks glaringly right down to my hand and I catch it. I let go of the KEYS in my hand, luckily attached to my purse. A sickly fake smile moves across her face. She looks at my best friend and starts speaking a very obnoxious and condescending baby talk kind of tone. She does an over-exaggerated (Think: sarcastic vibe, "Too bad, so sad face"). She says, "Oh no, it's all Sticky-Icky!" God I hope this woman does not have any offspring. My best friend tries to tell her that it's okay. She attempts to cut her off a few times. I reiterate that it's okay. She asks if we need anything (normal voiced) and then I ask her a question hoping she'll redeem herself. I ask where a store in the mall was and she decides to tall about how it's being shut down soon from what she heard- and this time, returning to her sickly, fake, condescending tone. We knew about the gossip. We just wanted to know the location. While I'm thinking about this in my head, and she continues to talk about 6 inches from my space (personal bubble???!!), she does another obnoxious, overly exaggerated frown. I don't care if she talks like that normally. That is NOT polite. How did she even get this customer service job??? My friend and I got so UNCOMFORTABLE, we left. Worst Sephora store I've...

Had a nice chill afternoon shopping and dashed into Sephora to grab a Christmas gift. Waiting in long line. Always busy. Went to pay and remembered I hadnt gotten my bday gift last time. Asked the emotionless yet beautifully makeuped girl about it who gave me sigh of disgust when I told her when my bday was. I should have come in earlier and next time…. oh dear, next time, I won’t be able to get my tiny samples of make up … that only entice me to spend more there. She gave me a good talking to and more than once told me how it wouldn’t happen again. I got the dreaded “maam”.I started to over explain that they don’t have any birthday gifts left when I was at the Sephora in kohls and that my birthday was at the end of the month as in just a two weeks ago but realized she hadnt even made eye contact with me. It wasn’t that important and she could have kept it. No point. No smile no courtesy just the threat of no birthday gift for me next time and I was sent on my merry way. The reason Sephora always enticed me was the selection and people there that were excited and willing to show you new items. I’ve been to department stores where they are just snooty and dismissive. I guess they have reached that level at Sephora too. Place is now run by elite over makeuped sales snots. I imagine there are some there that aren’t like that but I’ve yet to find one in a very long time now and I’ve been shopping there for years. My daughter got a gift card for her 9th birthday so she was SO excited to come and use it. This is the first time we have been to this location. She had her eye on some Sol De Janeiro sprays since she got/loved a body was on her birthday. We walked in and she was in awe. I quickly directed her to as and associate where to find what she was looking for (she only had so much and I saw it going sideways if she walked around). The associate was so sweet and walked her over. Patiently told her about a special they were having and directed her to the rep that was there for the event. The rep told her about the new summer lines and checked in while my daughter smelled EVERYTHING twice. When she had picked out her two items, the rep was showing her the gifts she could choose from and was really patient since my daughter was so indecisive. We got to the register and that associate listened while my daughter told her all about how excited she was and how much she has been wanting the sprays. She then rang her up and gave her a few samples. She walked out on cloud nine and has instructed me that we can only go to this store moving forward. It was really busy when we went in and I really appreciated everyone taking the time and providing such excellent customer service. They really went...
