Cherry Blossom Apartments — Attraction in Sunnyvale

Full disclosure: I never lived here. But I have my close friends living here for about a year and this has been my observations with me visiting them almost every other day. Their experience with the place has been sub optimal at the most. I was planning on shifting to this location, but decided against it after their experience.

The first issue with the place is that the walls are very thin. Because of this you tend to hear a lot of the activities that your neighbors are doing. In this case their opinion was to be very adjusting because they were sure that their neighbors were hearing their activities too. But they had one set of neighbors that kept complaining that they were having too many visitors and were keeping tabs on whatever my friends were doing (who were visiting them, what were they doing and so on). Just because you don't have a life doesn't mean that others shouldn't. Now the issue here was that the housing center did no investigation on their own, but took the other neighbors at their word's value. My friends didn't want to get into a pointless complaining match and didn't go to speak about their activities.

The second issue with the house is plumbing. Almost every other month, they would have issues of no water or the water tub being blocked because of old plumbing. It was tedious to keep contacting the housing center lead and getting this fixed.

I have a lot of good things to say about this apartment and the leasing manager Natalie. Natalie is super helpful and friendly, making the move in and out is so smoothly for me. The move out is very transparent and easy. I did not get overcharged for anything and get partial of my deposit back. The maintenance services is also very prompt. Yes, the apartment building is a bit old and sometimes you can hear your neighbor next door, but my neighbors are pretty quiet, you got a patio and it’s single floored. For the apartment’s great location(safe for walking outside in the evening and only 2-10minutes away from major groceries like safeway/traderjoe/wholefoods) and the price, it’s really a good deal. I lived here for two years and it’s such a lovely community. The neighbors are friendly and everyone keeps to themselves. Natalie’s so kind and responds promptly to emails/calls. The property itself is well kept with routine gardening and maintenance. The appliances are a bit rundown and there’s no air conditioning, but with a portable a/c and some blackout curtains it’s really no problem. The units are so spacious and there’s a lot you can do to make it your little sanctuary. It is really expensive, only reason I had to move.
