Protip: Order online for pickup, otherwise the line to order there is pretty long. However, even when you order online, note that it'll take at least 30mins for your order to be ready for pickup. You'll receive a text when your drinks are ready.
I got a variety of drinks with a couple of friends. The Sunright Boba Milk Tea was pretty good - 100% is pretty sweet, so make it less sweet if you're not into super sweet.
I got the the Matcha Oolong Milk Tea, 75% sweet. At 75% sweet, it's still pretty sweet as well. Not enough matcha for me, since I like my matcha strong, so the drink is alright. Oolong taste is not that strong either, so it kinda just take like a regular milk tea. I wish the drink could be better.
If you like soft boba, their boba (I don't know about the honey boba) is pretty soft so that was a plus.
They definitely need to improve on service though. There's three lines at the door: one for ordering at the kiosk, one for picking up your kiosk order, and one for picking up mobile orders. There was ONE person working both pickup lines.. Unfortunately even though I did a mobile order, and I got a message that my order was ready, I had to wait quite a while to even tell them my order number. The person was so focused on the kiosk pickup orders, that the mobile order line was utterly ignored. And the lines for pickup are facing the door and very little space.. so the lines get really messy. At the same time, after they get your order number, they're picking up every bag of drinks to figure out which one is your number.. I'd think it should be organized better.
I finally got to telling them my order, and the person didn't even check how many drinks were in my order. I ordered 7 drinks, and she just handed me a bag of 2 drinks without checking that that was the whole order..... You should be checking that your customers get their full order, especially with such a long wait time and they're trying to rush you out to get to the next customer.
They need to fix their service because it's VERY poor, compared to everywhere else. Even though the drinks are alright, because of the poor service, I don't think I'd be willing to come back because of the hassle, and the long wait times, both for placing for pickup, and actually...
Read moreEmployees here have a HORRIBLE attitude. We wanted to order two drinks off the childrens menu but we did not see the option on the kiosk. We asked the closest employee if we were missing something and she explained that they were out of the childrenâs cup. We instead asked if we could have a regular drink split into two cups. After a lot of back and forth with someone in the production line who looked like she was in charge/the manager they agreed to the split cup. We had even offered to take the drink being split into their paper cups as a compromise but they were the ones who grabbed two regular plastic cups.
We assumed the issue was already taken care of once they agreed to that. However the red haired employee who was distributing the orders decided they needed to have a word with us about the situation despite them not being part of the initial conversation at all. When we picked up our order they said with a snide attitude ânext time we canât do this for you.â Their attitude and delivery of that statement was so unexpected that my sister responded with a âmaybe we wonât come back next time.â They responded with a âyeah, sure just donât come back next time.â Yikes - this is coming from someone we had had zero interaction with prior to this and we were shocked that they felt they needed to talk to us this way.
This employee refused to give us their name and when asked for a manager they said there is no manager. I asked who was in charge and the person in the production line who okayed the split order came over to talk to us. We explained that we did not appreciate that type of attitude from this employee and we were told theyâd be spoken to. They told us the reason they couldnât do these split orders is because they were running low on cups. We all know this just means theyâre going to all talk about how we were mean to them and that we were Karenâs.
Having a low supply of cups does not entitle you to speak to your customers with a flippant attitude . Had they explained they were low on cups and that they couldnât do it at all we would have just ordered two drinks. But the poor attitude was uncalled for. True pity because their tea is quite tasty and their...
Read moreSunright , boba chain from socal, has been one of the boba shops on my rotation in the bay for a while. I would say I go here when Im craving something on the sweeter, less tea forward side. They specialize more on specialty mixed drinks like their creme brulee drinks and blended fruit tea drinks.
Again emphasis that the drinks here are made very sweet, if you would like a general sweetness level I recommend getting 75% sweet, maybe even 50%.
My typical order (also what I think is like a better version of the omomo bruleedrink) is their matcha milk tea, less ice, house milk, added cremebrulee and oreo toppings, 75% sweet.
We also tried their new jasmine drink with pistachio foam top, thought it was very refreshing , not too sweet. Pistachio top didnt taste artificial, nutty flavor went well with the jasmine tea, would order again!
This location was just recently renovated, love the new space, feels much more bright and spacious, they even have a few small table for seating now.
Also they have a rewards program through toast, which you can also use to order ahead . Even if you dont have jt downloaded, as long as you put your phone number in when you order, you are earning points towards discounts for future orders.
Service is always kinda, friendly, and efficient.
Overall highly recommend if you are...
