Update - The rangers at this park are incredibly bored. They watch over you like a hawk and are ready to pounce on you the instant their ranger senses tingle and they suspect you of doing anything - like having a snack for your tantruming toddler at the splash pad or bringing in a water toy like a shovel or a pale. In just my experience here today, the ranger went after me twice and several other parents just trying to get through 30 minutes of peace with their children. This park wasn't like this before, but as of today, I've crossed it off my list of splash pads because it's a hassle every time we come here lately. And it isn't just the one ranger. It seems to be a pattern with the ones who are staffed here.
Excellent splash pad! There's usually shady seating available for parents and my daughter loves the selection of things to play with. She is especially fond of the slide. We go at least...
Read moreOK so here's why I am in love with this splash pad in particular.
It's more intimate which means it's not as easy to lose your entire child in the enclosure. Other splash pads are larger and if kids are wearing similar swimwear it can get difficult to tell them apart.
There's a mini slide! I love the fact that there is a slide but be focused when your child is on it. It can be quite slippery.
It's never really crowded. The most kids I've ever seen here is 6. The capacity is 25.
Now unto things I didn't like so much: It's surrounded by bush. Which means there are lots of critters roaming around. The caretaker of the park said that if you leave food out the raccoons will take it for sure.
While the activities seem fun they could be a little more interactive.
But overall a solid 7 pushing to 8 on...
Read moreI went to this park randomly and was pleasantly surprised. It reminded me a lot of old hammock park. It has a .47 mile trail that is paved with rubber gravel so it was easy on the knees. Very shaded so it was a nice walk. They also have the disk baskets if you’re into that. My toddler loved the splash pad at the entrance. It was definitely one of the nicer splash pads in the area with lots of running water and animal figures for the kids to interact with. It even had a small slide that the kids seemed to love. It was sunny when I went and the splash pad has lots of seating and broches but only one was shaded. I highly recommend this park...
