HEAR ME OUT! Local resident review here been in the area for almost 20 years. I’ve tasted 100s of restaurants locally and in other places so I know a thing or two when reviewing a local restaurant. SUMMER WOOD CAFE is a GEM 💎! In comparison to other sushi/hibachi places in the area this is 5 stars. It’s a new place with amazing potential. I crave the sushi here and overall the food of this place in comparison to others (which I will not named name finishes with INN) is top notch!

Now let’s talk about the food. The sushi is always fresh tasty and appetizing. The ginger is fresh and compliments the sushi. I like my sushi crunchy so they lightly fry the sushi but they don’t give it to you hot it still has that sushi temperature. I have tried filet mignon hibachi, steak and chicken and just chicken along with the fried rice and all phenomenal. Not salty not overly oily and just overall tasty. During lunch they have specials which are freaking great for the price and overall the prices here are fair for the quality of food that is given. The beer 🍺 is also good served chilled.

The atmosphere is relaxing and appealing and customer service is always superb.

Overall like I said it’s a hidden gem because the quality you get here is better than the competition. Also it’s a locally owner restaurant so it’s great to see local business thriving and the ability to support local business as a local resident. 5 stars...

This is the freshest, best customer service, best tasting place I have eaten at in a long time . It’s a Hidden Gem that makes u want to spend your $ there. The . food 12/10 service 11/10 freshness10/10 portions10/10 Price: LOOK at the menu. I want crazy because my son got all A’s on his report card and he is a FOODIE like mommy. MOM! Kids will love it, shareable portions. He is 9 Years old. I ordered a lot of food and the bill was $60. OH THE WATER Top tier!! I love a restaurant that serves great water, you can save on your bill with drinks and order more food😉. The name will throw u off a little bit but the food, service, flavors, elevated plates and portion sizes will not disappoint. ORDER The FOOD! Honestly I ate it so fast! I took NO PICTURES😩Side NOTE. We showed up at 8:34pm and they close at 9. I felt so welcomed, i couldn’t thank the server enough for seating us and making the experience great, 25 mins prior to closing 🙏🏾. :UPDATE. I went back with in 48 hours. My son ordered a strawberry smoothie with dinner. 10/10 on drinks!...

This is my favorite place to go for sushi and boba. Located on Oakland and Pine Island in Sunrise Summer Wood is located near the DMV. I discovered this restaurant a couple of years ago walking by and have loved it ever since.

The menu is very extensive. They have everything from sushi, hibachi, fried rice, noodles, and appetizers. All of the food is freshly made and they also offer boba, fresh juice and smoothies. The atmosphere is very relaxing and quiet. The decor is bright and inviting giving you the feeling of comfort. The service is impeccable and the staff is warm and friendly. This is my go to spot when I want to eat sushi or have lunch or dinner.

One of my favorite things to order is the fried rice with salmon or the Summer Sky Lobster Roll which comes with the Lobster Tempura. My favorite tea is the Hong Kong Milk Style Tea or the Cake Cream Taro Bubble Tea.
