Mediocre store with terrible management. I feel sorry for both the customers of this store and its owners. I feel sorry for the customers because it is impossible for a person over 6 feet tall, but not fat, to find anything in this store. Pants and jeans are only for people under 5.5 feet tall. T-shirts and shirts in sizes L, XL, XHL are designed only for short people with a full figure. On a 6.5 foot tall person, almost ALL T-shirts and shirts cover the waist at best. And after washing, the navel will be visible. But this is not the main thing. The store positions itself as adapted for the disabled. And there are even two cash registers supposedly intended for the disabled. But people with disabilities should not hope that these cash registers are ready to serve them. It's fake. On Sunday evening, July 21, at about 06.00 PM, my wife, who has obvious signs of disability, and I went into the store to buy clothes for her. There were no cashiers at both cash registers, over which there were signs indicating services for disabled people. There are photographs and videos confirming this. To the questions asked, the staff answered that the cash registers for the disabled DO NOT WORK. I asked to speak to the manager to see if my wife could be served at such a counter. When she (the manager) arrived, I turned to her with the question “why...?”. After all, if a store positions itself and marks itself as working with people with disabilities, it is obliged to follow the rules and laws and provide service to people with disabilities in specially designated cash registers. To my surprise, the manager, perhaps imagining that I was her subordinate, decided that she had the right to be rude to visitors. Without listening to the end and interrupting me, she demanded from me in an insolently raised tone: “Listen...”. To which I politely remarked to her that it is not I who should listen to her, but she is obliged to work, and not demand anything from the visitor. Then the manager turned around and left. I note that this is how the manager behaved, whose salary was paid from the money that customers bring to the store). Honestly, we did not leave the store without purchasing anything just because we received a receipt proving our visit to the store. If store owners and company management want to verify the manager’s boorish behavior, they can watch video from store cameras near the cash registers for the disabled. Time approximately 06.10 PM - 06.30 PM.
I can assume (only assume) that by having a label about additional services for people with disabilities, the store receives some preferences. If a store does not follow such rules, this can be classified, at a minimum, as false advertising, as well as failure to comply with certain rules. At the most, I believe my wife and I, and perhaps the store, will have to undergo a legal assessment of the situation for violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act Title III: Public Accommodations. It is a pity that the owners and management of the store could not find a person for the position of manager who knows federal laws and knows how to behave with those who bring money...
Read morePrimark is a discount fashion retailer headquartered in Dublin, Ireland. The company's first store was established by Arthur Ryan on behalf of Associated British Foods in June 1969 in Dublin. The first US store opened in 2005 in Boston. Today they have stores throughout Europe and the US. In Ireland the stores are named Penney's but in the United States they are called Primark in order to not be confused with the JC Penny stores. As of 2020, Primark owned 384 stores in 13 countries.
This Primark is located in Sawgrass Mills Mall near the Target anchor. I don't get to this end of the mall very much but I admired my friends Earth day T shirt and she told me she purchased it here for only $5 so I came by to check the store out.
After walking through Primark my impression was that this would be the perfect store to go to if the airline lost your luggage and you needed a lot of cheap clothes fast. Known for their bargain prices, Primark sells men's. women's. and children's clothes along with accessories. and beauty products. The prices are exciting, $19 for a denim jacket, $4 for a t shirt, and $9 pajamas. Look closer however and the quality isn't there. Instead of embroidery there is stamped pictures on clothes, fabric is thin and stiff, silhouettes are sloppy, and fit looks non existent. If you are dead broke however you can put together a passable interview outfit for under $40.
After looking around I think it is best for juniors and children who outgrow their clothes fast. My daughter will probably love it here. I'll probably take her by the next time she's in town. I much prefer another European discount retailer in the the mall, H&M. They also do cheap but are much more fashion focused. Check out Primark for yourself though. If you find something you like it's dirt cheap. I saw people happily scooping up armfuls of clothing. I am sure the tourists love their Disney line and the...
Read moreWhere to begin? I've been a shopper at this Primark location for years! this last visit was my last. Went to the cash register to hand over my items, cashier (who is awesome by the way) scanned each article as usual, the amount came out to $353. I paid using my Visa. The card machine stated "APPROVED" but the computer apparently, gliched, and did not process the payment. I told the cashier it was approved and they called the manager. Manger said it didn't go through and that i needed to have all the items re-scanned and paid for again. I contacted Visa and they confirmed the payment went through successfully. The manager gave me a loose loose option. Either i abandon the merchandise that I paid for, or I pay again with the hopes that Primark will refund my first payment in a couple of days. So i paid again! The manager Ryan Hall, assured me i would get my money back with in 5Days, and if not to call in. I did not get the refund, I went back to the store, and he was not there, I call everyday no answer no help. I live in Canada so I cant pop in when ever i want. Primark worst customer service! I will be...
