Her exact words, “We don’t do to-go orders” and when asked why, her response was, “I don’t know, ask the owner” and then hung up on me. I don’t write 1 star reviews, but this kind of customer service deserves to be made visible.
To the owner: You’re surrounded by neighboring businesses who employ human beings that value good customer service and enjoy Häagen-Dazs. If you’re worried about the order going unclaimed, then process payment over the phone. Or, have your employees simply explain your policy in a polite manner, and offer solutions. Read moreExtremely disappointing experience at this Haagen-Dazs location. The employee, Jefferson M, provided terrible customer service from start to finish. He rushed us while we were trying to look at the menu and make our selections. While preparing our order, he began threatening that we wouldn't be able to use Apple Pay, insisting it wouldn't work and demanding we pay cash instead. When we did successfully pay with Apple Pay, Jefferson became visibly upset that we didn't leave a tip. Given the poor service and hostile attitude, a tip was certainly not warranted. The ice cream itself was fine, but Jefferson's rude behavior and attempts to pressure us about payment methods completely ruined the experience.
