How do I put this... It was like going 0-65 at 300 ft while basejumping. It covered all of my major fears and multiplied all thier values together. The ride went up slowly and the beautiful view was the sole, staunch reminder that I wasn't just high - I was deathly high. When It stopped, I felt relieved, as if terror had found its limit, but it was then that it rotated to face the ground. The few seconds I laid there lasted a lifetime and I felt my weight pull me forward. As if to answer my pleas, I heard a mechanical click. Relieving me of gravity. Moving me. It takes only a second to realize what that means. As I came to terms with my predicament, a miraculous feeling overcame me. The hydraulic hinge swept into position, and stooped to a controlled, vertical fall. It was at this moment that I screamed. I felt as if I had overcome my fears of height, tragedy and rollercoasters, and , yes, death all at the same time. This ride was more than a 5 second fall to me, it was the culmination of all thrill and terror I've conquered, the greatest adrenaline rush imaginable. It was a rush. I HIGHLY recommend it to all.
P.S. I realize how dumb this sounds, but I don't usually write reviews....
Read moreMy nephew dragged me back to this "amusement" park, he told me that there's ride that was so tall I could meet God, naturally as a Christian man I jumped at the opportunity, I was so eager to meet the only being more righteous than myself, I didn't, Quasimodo lied! Instead I was suspended some 300 or more feet of the ground facing down, I felt an extreme sense of fears and screamed at the vermin below to help me, I cursed the two sitting next to me, telling them to help but midway through my sentence I heard a deafening falcon cry and then it happened, the longest 7 seconds of my life, 7 seconds for the 7 layers of Hell. I cried and begged God for mercy, I didn't deserve this, I sobbed and uncontrollably hyperventilated as I had a major panic attack. When I finally was safe I was frozen in shock according to Phoebus, he's my guard NOT my pa! I was apparently unintelligible for a few hours, rambling like a madman. AVOID...
Read moreThis review is just for Falcons fury. This ride is not nearly as scary as you might expect. I think it's because your facedown and therefor your are pressed into your seat. If you stayed sitting up you'd have the feeling of flying out of your seat. I tend to get motion sick on rides and I didn't get the least bit sick on this ride and it doesn't shake you up either. Actually the scariest part of this ride if you've never been on it before is standing in line waiting to get on and watching it. Enjoy the time going up because it's really a beautiful view. Going down is a fun rush. I'm 62 years old and I could ride it over and over. I can only ride a roller coaster once or twice before it gets the best of me but Falcons Fury is amazing. By the way they won't let you wear your glasses on the ride. They'll have you take them off and put them in the little compartment right in front of your seat before...
