My husband and I are parents of 3 beautiful, loving and VERY WILD little boys. Lately, we have been doing the Little League grind and have found very little time to enjoy date nights. We lucked out this Sunday and were able to secure a sitter for a date afternoon. We have done nearly every “date-ish” thing in Tampa. Downtown is a common place for my family. We have recently seen several new recreational activities in the downtown area, including the Riverwalk Boating Co. We decided to take the plunge and check it out. Making the reservation was effortless, yet wasn’t required. When we arrived, two employees greeted us by name. They were very thorough in their instructions and made us feel completely at ease with driving the boats. I typically stay away from small crafts (kayaks, canoes, jet ski’s, etc.) because of how unsteady they feel. The boats at Riverwalk Boating Co, did not give me this feeling at all. They were completely steady and maneuver very easily. When we were briefed, a couple of routes were suggested to us. We could either go into Hillsborough Bay and around Davis Island or up the Hillsborough River. We decided that we would combine both into our hour. If you want to get your speed up and bounce around, I suggest going into the bay. You may even see some dolphins. We didn’t, but we did see quite a few diving pelicans. The river route it nice too. I enjoyed looking at the change in scenery as we made it further north up the river. You will need to watch your speed though and adhere the signs, as we did see a sheriff boat. I haven’t had this much fun in years. I felt like a child again and smiled the whole time. We were out for an hour but would like to do the two hour option next time. We decided that we will be bringing our 5 & 7 year olds with us, when we do it again. They would have a BLAST! I would recommend this to families, couples and even as a gift. Father’s Day is coming up and this would be better than the normal tie and coffee mug. It is super affordable considering that most date dinners, run about $50+ dollars. It was a much needed mental break and both my husband and I agree, this is one of the best things Tampa...
Read moreI recently had an absolutely fantastic experience with Riverwalk Boating Company, and I couldn't wait to share my positive review! From start to finish, renting one of their little boats was an absolute blast.
First off, let me start by saying how incredibly accommodating and understanding the owner, Jason, was. I had accidentally booked my rental on the wrong date through Groupon, but Jason went above and beyond to fix the issue swiftly and with such kindness. His customer service truly set the tone for the entire experience.
Once we arrived at Riverwalk Boating Company, we were greeted by a team of friendly and professional employees who made the rental process smooth and effortless. They provided clear instructions on operating the boats and ensured we felt comfortable before setting off on our adventure.
My family and I have had the pleasure of renting both the pink retro boat and the speed boat, and each one offered a unique experience. Whether we were leisurely cruising along the river or picking up the pace for a bit of excitement, every moment was filled with excitement!
The convenience of renting these little boats allowed us to explore the river at our own pace, soaking in the scenic views and enjoying each other's company without any rush. It's truly a fantastic way to spend time outdoors and create unforgettable memories with loved ones.
Overall, I can't recommend Riverwalk Boating Company enough. Their dedication to customer satisfaction, coupled with the sheer fun of cruising in their boats, makes for an experience that's second to none. Whether you're a local looking for a unique activity or a tourist wanting to see the city from a different perspective, do yourself a favor and book a rental with Riverwalk Boating Company – you...
Read moreJason from Riverwalk Boating Company contacted our company to help him continue his walk and the path of providing "Green" boat rentals for Tampa visitors, while producing less of a carbon footprint to the local waterways. This is something that is extremely important to Jason and his crew @ RBC.
RBC offers these boat rentals in downtown Tampa conveniently located by the Convention Center and Sail Pavillion. The public has access to different style boats: some vintage retro, some current style sleek designs, all with updated different color styles, while powering them with clean electric and/or fuel saving outboard engines.
Boat Tours? No problem with Jason's newest fleet addition which is a custom extremely well thought out and spacious power catamaran for longer trips, with "first Class" style elbow room. PHA, Inc. offers cost saving and speed gain marine technology. So it was great "Teaming" up with RBC as Jason obviously thinks "outside the Box" in terms of green technology while providing a fair priced public service and reducing fuel usage and his company's carbon footprint. All great goals! Their team was easy to work with and we look forward to future projects with RBC.
Thanks Jason, Mike Gable Pontoon Hydrofoil...
