I probably spent way too much money in the shopping plaza… Between the petsmart, home goods, Target (with a Starbucks- duh) , Burlington, ULTA( that would really get to my wallet crying lol I do enjoy that place too much), Nordstrom rack(this one is a new favorite of mine. I didn’t realize there was so many things I’d drop dead for in there 😍 lol ) & Home Depot (hey it comes in handy sometimes.) not to mention, personally I don’t drive, so I Uber/Lyft a lot. Or walk. I did have me the transportation, but of course someone stole it so that’s the story for another day. Within walking distance, there’s sunny side cannabis dispensary. One of my top three favorite freaking dispensaries in Tampa or the world. It’s where the old sweet tomatoes used to be, RIP. Oh yeah and then there’s a total wine and more place right next to it. I’m not really a drinker, but a lot of people are lol and then across the street from all of that, there is a Walmart that’s actually not too shabby. And the next to it is a Best Buy. So that whole little intersection is Poppin. I’ll definitely have pictures coming in the near future for you guys. Till then 😎😇 you might just have to take my...
Read moreGreat stores but horrible traffic light situation. Saturdays, prime shopping time, the lines to get out of the shopping center snake for more than a mile throughout the parking lot. This is because the traffic light has not been engineered to accommodate all the left turn traffic exiting the center onto Dale Mabry. If the first driver in the left turn lane is paying attention and responds promptly at the green left turn arrow and everyone else is paying attention to traffic and not their phones, 4 cars get through before it turns red. That and the fact that the Wal-Mart shopping center across the street shares the same light and has nearly as much traffic makes this a traffic nightmare for customer vehicles. Hillsborough County Traffic Engineering and the 2 shopping center managers need to get together and come up with solutions, which may include extending the time for the left turn arrows (allow at least 20 cars out in each cycle) and adding another traffic light further north to allow for another exit onto Dale Mabry. I would to be here during Black Friday unless I came...
Read moreGetting into the shopping center is fairly easy, but getting out can be extremely difficult during heavy shopping traffic. There are only two exit points, with one being a tangled mess of traffic lanes leading to a traffic light on Dale Mabry Hwy with a very short green light and a relatively long red, or a right-turn only exit onto Spruce, a narrow side street, with a very short distance to another red light. Traffic backs up on Spruce very frequently with eastbound traffic competing for space with vehicles leaving the shopping center.
The elevators in the parking garage have been grossly neglected, with many of the call buttons being out-of-order, along with one elevator being completely out of service, and another simply refusing to go to the ground floor. Only one elevator remains fully in service for a very large parking garage.
Parking can be difficult, with Home Depot's lot being half-filled with carts and rental equipment, and the parking garage having a 7' ceiling. Tall vehicles are going to have to park in whatever's left in the Home...
