We have had a bad experience at this store. We built a new home, and four months before completion, we picked out family room furniture. We informed the salesperson that we didn't have a move-in date yet, but it would likely be in July or August. She said, "No problem," and they could always "hold it for us." In July, I received an email from the company stating that they were preparing to ship it. I told the salesperson this was too soon, and she delayed the shipment. In mid-August, we were informed by the builder that we could move in on August 29. Since it was a long holiday weekend, we requested a delivery date from Bassett of September 2 or 3. One week before, we talked to the salesperson about the delivery, and she said she would not know until the following week. The requested dates came and went, and she then told us the local holding location could only hold purchases for one to two days. Apparently, she had never re-ordered shipping. The local shipping person emailed us that our delivery would not be until September 17. Then, on September 16, this person emailed me to say it would not be delivered then, she did not know when, and she could not track the shipment!! (After she signed the letter, she added, "Have a lovely day!"). I spoke with the salesperson, who said her manager was "investigating." I asked to speak with the manager, but was never called. There has been no resolution and no information. The store and company have ghosted us despite our multiple attempts to contact them by phone, text, and email.    Read moreThe service department is extremely bad. We called a few days to report a failure on our reclining sofa. The technician came Today. Bd without inspecting the mechanics said that the switch was bad and that they will need to order the part. It will take 1.5 to 2 weeks. My question is that if the switch is the only part that can fail why they don’t carry it on their truck? I am sure that the part is not worth mire than 15 dollars. Much less than the time they waist just to come and see the issue. Nevertheless the time and money that I lost by waiting. Too bad BASSETT !! You know very well to charge for your products but extremely bad for the service that you provide to repair.

On Sep, 09 we reported you the malfunction of our new recliner sofa.
The technician came on Sep 16 and he said there is a switch that needs to be replaced and that it will take about 1.5 to 2 weeks to arrive to my home address.
Today Oct 20th. No parts arrived yet. No call from the service department and no call or email either from Tina, the sales agent.
What can we do at this point? I’m not comfortable owning a 7 thousand Dlls recliner sofa that we used only for 6 month and is already broken.

She took me to the fabric area and after finding out my color scheme, showed me her suggestions. I can't remember how many fabrics I looked at and I kept going back to her original choice. Later she brought that sample + others to my home for me to choose and my final choice became her first suggestion. I love my new ottoman so much and decided I wanted a new lamp for that room. She sent me her suggestions via text the next day and when I went in to look we both decided the one I'd chosen was too large for my 24" round table. So we walked the store, found another one I liked and took it over to a 24" round table and that was the one I purchased. I received it yesterday and couldn't be more pleased. Mikell is genuinely interested in our wishes, not just selling us something. She definitely earned my respect the day she showed up at my house unannounced a few minutes before the ottoman delivery. That has never happened to me before with other furniture stores. She really makes me want to come back and purchase more from her.
