Clark Park — Attraction in Tempe

The parking area for this park is very limited and they have strange diagonal parking, and only one-row of cars can park there; make sure to not come in the wrong way or it will be harder to get your car in the spaces.. The park has a lot of stuff you can do. It has a dog park, a baseball field, a basketball court, and a playground. However, the park felt a bit sketchy. I saw lot of homeless people sitting there; even in the pavilions and picnic tables and on the grass. Went here on a summer Saturday evening and was absolutely appalled. The park is overrun with ants and you wonder if it's maintained. The worst thing was that there were NO lights at all in the park. If they're going to keep the park open then they ought to make it safe. If they don't want to keep the lights on and maintain the park then just put up big signs saying that it's closed. Pros: Large park, new playground equipment, lots of large trees for shade, lots of picnic & bbq areas, restrooms, gazebos & benches/tables. There are huge fields, volleyball & basketball court & a baseball field. Pet clean up bags available. Cons: Many trash cans around but still some litter on the grass.
