I am a huge fan of Motel 6. I have always had good experience with this motel chain. However, I felt I needed to take the time to give my feedback, as many companies there customer service standards have deteriorated. This is an older property but the customer service was great and so was the room rate!!
The Hotel Front Desk Agent Nakeyla made my stay most wonderful. She had phenomenal customer service and went out of her way to make my stay most enjoyable. She saw that I had a bad leg and was sick and she met my needs by making sure I had a ground floor room with a bath tub with a stopper. she made sure I knew exactly where the room was located so I didn't have to wander lost on the property in pain trying to locate the room She did all of this without me even requesting it!!! She even poked her head out thinking I was going the wrong way after checking in, when I went to move my car. There was parking available right in front of the vacant rooms. She made sure I had a room next to parking space to park. . This was great when every step hurts to walk with my bad leg and when it hurts to lift bags. I was glad she didn't put me on the second floor where to walk and park around the building on the second or third floor.
She was friendly, attentive, helpful, kind, cooperative, compassionate, knowledgeable and experienced. Many companies now have young inexperienced college student employees that are just learning a job and are in training. She was friendly, sensitive to the needs of guests, competent, polite, respectful, professional, knowledgeable, experienced, caring, approachable, with excellent attention to detail. She was informed that I have some serious medical health issues. I don't ever remember a Hotel Front Desk Agent asking and caring about my specific needs like this. I could not locate a city of Tempe map and I had no internet. She went out of her way to look up a business that I wanted visit and provide the contact information. This motel had medical conditions and She asked me if I prefer a room with smoking or non smoking. . I don’t ever remember a Hotel Front Desk Agent asking and caring about my specific needs like this. It was conveniently located by a gas station on one side and an Arbys on the other side.
I appreciate how Motel 6 accepts cash payments. This company actually wants customer feedback and welcomes feedback. Motel 6 values each customer regardless of the car you drive. When I went to check out the rest of the staff was nice, respectful, professional, down to earth, and friendly with good customer service as well. I asked for information on where another business was in the area and how to locate another place and the rest of the staff was helpful, knowledgeable and helpful as well. I loved the wake up call with Tom. What a great way to...
Read moreThe only reason that I gave one star review at this place is because it doesn't allow me to give a zero star review. The general manager of this location is a liar and she will put you on a no rent list because of her lies..
My husband, and myself reserved a room at this location due to business we had in the area to handle. We stay at motel 6 a lot we don't mind it it's simple it's convenient and it's familiar. However thanks to the general manager at this location I will never ever ever ever ever ever ever spend my money and stay at a motel 6 ever again for the rest of my entire life. We used booking.com to make the reservation, and were under the impression we had early check in. We showed up around 12:30 1:00 p.m. and had barely pulled into the parking lot when the general manager was walking past us and she screamed at us "Do you people have a room here??" We said yes we have a reservation. She screamed back " I'm not checking people in until 3 pm so you need to leave you're not sitting around in the parking lot". So we left and I called motel 6 corporate office to let them know how she treated us. They created a case and gave me a trace # and said they'd investigate it.
At 3 pm we showed up to check in and my husband, who is a veteran btw, was told that the general manager put us on a no rent list and to leave. So I went into the office to find out what was going on and the employee at the desk said she was on the phone with the general manager and she was not going to rent us a room and she was not going to do anything about it and if I wanted my money back to call booking.com. I asked her why, she told me the general manager said my husband went into the office the first time we got there and told her he was going to leave a bad review and so she refused to rent to us. This is simply not true, and their video surveillance will show this is a flat out lie. I called their customer care again to update the case and was transferred to a medical device sales line. I'm so upset, my husband and I didn't do the things they alleged we did. We already paid for the room and have no money to get another room elsewhere so we are forced to spend the night in our vehicle in the heat in Phoenix tonight, due to the disohonesty of the general manager. I cannot believe this is actually happening.
Don't stay here, they don't like veterans. I feel robbed, defeated, and just all around miserable because we have nothing and nowhere to go. I'm appalled at the way we were treated and how motel 6 and booking.com handled this. How awful can someone really be? I have no clue why she chose us but I would bet we're not the first and won't be the last to be treated so poorly by the staff at this location. I would stay somewhere else if I were you, especially if you're a...
Read moreI made reservations at this Motel 6 to accommodate the budget needs of my cousins who I was traveling with. Over the years I have traveled extensively for business and leisure in the USA and abroad. I have lodged in luxury hotels, resorts, lovely B&Bs, and budge lodging. Never in my life have I ever experienced anything like I did at this Motel 6! It was AWFUL! I had just checked in my family with my credit card. As I was about to check myself in the motel's system went down. I was asked if I could return a bit later to check in. No problem. I went to the room of my cousins. When I returned to the reception desk there were a number of guests trying to check in; however, the system was still down. The receptionist was trying to remain calm and explaining the problem. Soon she said she would get her shift manager to assist her. It was obvious the shift manager did not want to help her. She did not understand the problem and did not know what to do. At that point she just said anyone wanting to check in would have to pay cash. The man standing next to me grew livid. He said he could not pay cash and he had reservations. Couldn't he get into his room and then be called when the system was up. The answer was a quick NO! He was told if he did not pay cash now he could go to another hotel. He wanted the name of the President of Motel 6. Other people around me were also quite angry. I told the shift manager I carry very little cash when I travel and I just used my own credit card to pay for my family's room. She had my credit card information. She said NO I had to pay cash if I wanted a room. I returned to my family. Together we raised enough cash for three a three night stay.. I went back and began counting out the money. I was told I was very rude and the shift manager was kicking me out. She told me they did not allow people like me to stay at their motel! I was simply appalled. She said I will call and try to find you a room. I said no. I have had a reservation for 5-6 weeks and you will honor it. You are not kicking me out. Then she threatened to call the police and then called the General Manager. The GM arrived in about 10 minutes. I told him what happened and the shift manager told him her story. He told me I was not kicked out and took care of things immediately. I did tell him I reviewed for Trip Advisor and the review would be pretty bad. He said he understood and said you have no other choice. The room I was given was clean and comfortable for the three nights I was there. The Motel 6 was a great value; however, considering what that shift manager put me through there was absolutely no value to that stay. If I could rate this stay below a 1, I...
