University Inn Tempe/ASU — Attraction in Tempe

I was attracted to the price and location for a little getaway. It’s perfectly walking distance from Mill ave bars. I walked with my boyfriend down the street to get breakfast in the morning. There’s a CVS and a bank nearby and tons of places to eat. The area is a bit dodgy with some homeless people around but not too bad, there’s a residential neighborhood behind it and a main road in front. The room was updated, and the bed was very comfy. There isn’t counter space in the bathroom so u have to dangle your essentials between the edge of the sink, on the tp ledge or towel rack. The glass wall in the shower is poorly designed with the opening where the water aims at so you will end up with water on the floor afterwards. The toilet paper bar was barely hanging on the wall and broke off in my hand so i called to report it and they said they would come fix it after we left. They do want your id, your guest’s id, and license plates at checkin. There’s signs to register ur license plate to avoid being towed and the front desk lately said she would take note of it for us instead, i still felt like i should text the number anyway just in case. The lady at the front was very friendly and got us extra towels. Overall, a good price for the bed and location but i think they spent a lil too much energy in trying to look modern but forgot to have it be functional in...

Absolutely beautiful ❤️ Place is clean, modern, and has everything I need (Queen beds, ice bucket, refrigerator, cool and hot air conditioner, storage room, cold and hot shower, parking lot with rent included, 50" screen with 100+ channels, fast wifi, ironing board, coffee maker) Front desk were so friendly and helpful. They were expecting my arrival and knew my name on first contact. Check it late at night (around 2 AM). Had to pay an extra $ 100 as deposit on arrival (cash is not acceptable so bring your cards). No breakfast and drinkable water so you have to order online or dine out. Plenty of restaurants and grocery stores around the area (5 ~ 10 minutes on foot). Some annoying car and plane noises specially at night (so bring your ear plugs)

The hotel is updated and nicer than expected for the price we had paid. However, don't expect much privacy during your stay here. It seemed as though we were on constant watch during our stay. The two women working the reception desk took note of our vehicle's license plate every time we pulled into the hotel. We even received a phone call as soon as entering our hotel room while being hassled for having our friend come by for a visit. The next morning we woke up to another confrontation with the woman working the reception desk. Even though we had legally done nothing wrong, she insisted on kicking us out and calling the cops for a review our friend had written. It's unfortunate, as this put a huge damper in the end of our vacation.

I would like to also add that this is the second time that this company has had our friend's review removed...
