This hotel is outstanding! I stayed for 3 nights recently for pleasure and work. The hotel is beautiful on the outside and inside.
The rooms were clean and nicely decorated. I had a room facing the courtyard with a Juliet balcony that had a lovely door that opened up to hear the courtyards fountain. Bed was comfortable, the A/C worked great, which was a God send in the heat. I didn’t hear much noise from other rooms(except 1 night, but it was handled by staff). There was a mini fridge that was large enough for drinks and left overs, nice work station and they provided Nest products in room, which is a favorite of mine.
The courtyard has a large clean and beautiful fountain with a lot of comfortable seating and a lot of cacti and greenery.
The pool was clean and a nice size. The pool area has cabanas with plenty of additional seating areas. The pool area also had a wonderful snack bar that served food and drinks(alcoholic and nonalcoholic). The snack bar attendant was very friendly and fast.
Room service was fast and friendly. Though the food was good, it wasn’t great. I appreciated that room service provided service to the pool area when snack bar was closed.
We had the breakfast buffet in the hotel cafe and it was wonderful. A lot of variety that was good quality and unique. Best of all everything we ate was amazing and the cafe staff was so nice and accommodating.
We also ate at their restaurant Harry’s, which was delicious. The staff was very friendly and fast, even though they seemed short staffed.
Check in was very fast and efficient. The front desk staff were so lovely. The front desk manager who I encountered several times always had a smile, friendly and helpful. But the star of the front desk for me was Alanna! She was not only friendly, but she was able to give us very-very early check in for both our rooms. While we waited for our early check in’s, she gave us a recommendation for a breakfast place not located in the hotel and a nail shop. Both recommendations were fabulous!
My favorite employees were Orlando, Otto and Michael who took exceptional care of us! The hotel offers free shuttle to and from the hotel and we met these 3 gentlemen through shuttle service and bag hold. All 3 gentlemen were fabulously lovely, warm, friendly, funny and provided wonderful recommendations for things to do and provided outstanding service.
The hotel location was great. Within a few few from Main Street with plenty of restaurants and shops. There is a small corner store at the end of the hotel’s driveway in case the hotels mini store didn’t have what you need(hotel store is small and has very limited items). There’s also a ATM across the street from the hotel. A CVS and Whole Foods within about a 5 minute walk away. The area was safe as well.
I travel a lot and have stayed in many hotels and this hotel is one of my top 5 favorites and highly recommend to anyone staying in that area.
Tempe Mission Palms should be proud of themselves. All their employees seemed so happy and enjoyed working for this hotel, which in turn having happy well treated employees produces employees who run the hotel beautifully and treat guests exceptionally. I’ll definitely be back to stay...
Read moreI stayed during December of 2018 and enjoyed myself. I was originally going to only stay one night. I stayed in the beautiful suit overlooking the pool. Then I decided to stay a week because it was a wonderful experience. Well I went to the front desk late night to extend my stay. The woman there was the absolute perfect example of horrible customer service. She was so rude and dismissive. I was not the the one that she was thinking was just going to take it. I came down in the morning and the young woman at the front desk and the older woman in the back were so apologetic and professional. They were mortified apon hearing what I had experienced. They put me in a room on the same floor. The week here I took advantage of what the hotel had to offer. From the bar to the pool and pool side good service. The week went on wonderful. BUT Now is where the bad side comes in. The valets were a bit aggressive. The one to help me barked at me when I tried moving the luggage trolly in side due to the fact that a large party of people were coming in for a company meeting. And not saying that they would but I had not only a large amount of expensive clothes and jewelry there just sitting by itself that the valet just pushed of to the side and continued to park other cars. This didn't sit well with me. I decided to let it go. I had to have cash on me for the tips but this got a little old because I took my car in and out about 3 times a day. $5 tip when going and $5 and returning. One time I forgot and the attitude that was given to me was just horrible, but I decided maby he was having a bad day. The one thing that I could not overlook was the loss of my key. The insurance covered it but the thing that I didn't like was that when I was waiting he accused me of losing them. I had to try and not laugh. The manager came and was very professional, which is the bare minimum that is required at least in my mind. He was kind too and the valet was hovering over his shoulder and kept on saying ''I didn't do it, I wasn't here" It was just sad to see. My stay was what I expected and payed for. Things will happen that are unforeseen and how the staff handles them is what I judge my stay on. I will be staying here at the beginning of August. I'm not going to lie I'm a bit nervous that something might happen because not only am I myself staying but alot of my friends are as well. They are staying because I raved about the hotel. I just hope not to be embarrassed. I have requested a few things and when calling in to confirm the the reservation a week ago the gentleman who took my call was a bit short with me and said that requests are just that not guaranties. So yes I am a...
Read moreI don't know how anyone has anything bad to say about this place. I am an avid reader of Google reviews and I almost didn't want to stay here because of some of the negative things that were written. But they couldn't ve further from the truth.
From the moment we got on the free shuttle from the airport to the moment we were dropped off at the airport to return home, nothing but exceptionally friendly service from everyone in the hotel.
The shuttle driver was great, the front desk was so nice & accommodating, the bartenders at the pool and the restaurant were awesome, the guys that were always in position to open the front door when going/coming always had a smile, the ladies who cleaned our room were so joyful... Eveyone we came across was so pleasant. I know this is a hotel and that's how it should be but we all know that is always not the case. Nothing but kind words here for the employees.
The room was very clean, modern and had plenty of room to store all of our belongings. We had a lovely view of the courtyard and easy access to the pool. The bathroom was nice and towels were abundant. We ran out of toilet paper pretty late one night and when I called to the front desk to see if they had some, they sent someone to the room in less than 5 mins. Speaking of the pool... There was plenty of covered seating (very important since it gets so hot) and there were always towels available. The staff was constantly there cleaning, tidying up and replenishing towels. And, it's a salt water pool!
We did not order any food from the Mission Grille (on site restaurant) so I have no opinion there, but other reviews say the breakfast is really good.
Only "issue" I can even think of was that the closest vending machine did not work. Wah wah. No big deal. There is a little store beside the front desk with even better items than the vending machines. Problem solved.
Lastly, the hotel is in a great location. Super close to the airport, lots of bars, restaurants (make sure to hit up Morning Squeeze and Daily Jam for breakfast) and stuff to do within walking distance. Transit options are plentiful, frequent and easy to ride.
Tip... There is a CVS down the street (that sells alcohol!), do yourself a favor and buy enough bottled water to get you through your stay. The water in AZ is absolutely disgusting. You are 100% going to want bottled water.
Bottom line... I would 100%...
