I've visited this place twice. The first time was 3 years ago (before they were bought by Breakout) and we played the Alleyway Vigilantes room. We absolutely loved that room. Although it is just a single room, it packs so many clever surprises and fun puzzles into it. Fantastic immersion, story world, etc... That visit was easily 5 stars
We were excited to return and try the next room in the storyline, Jungle Gem. It was decent enough but overall a huge disappointment and downgrade from the quality that the first game we played has us expecting. The sets had definitely seen better days. Several puzzles felt like homework. There is one puzzle that requires being able discern colors in a low lit setting that would have been impossible to do if we didn't use our phone flashlights to see them. Overall, a pretty underwhelming experience given our high expectations.
Staff both times was very friendly and helpful. No complaints there.
I'm giving this place a 4, as an average of what was a 5 star and a 3 star visit.
Not sure if something was lost in translation when Breakout took over (having played several of their rooms in other cities, I can say their overall quality is totally middle of the road decent, nothing to write...
Read moreI don't believe these reviews at all. We played all the games at this location when it was under a different name. We called to make sure the games were not the same and they assured us they are all new games. When we arrived, it looked almost identical to the old game so I said this looks familiar and the host replied that they paid homage to the old room and revamped it. So they added a set of lockers and a cabinet and took away some of the cool stuff that was in there under the previous owners. Room was very boring and not enough to for 4 people to do. Spent most the time standing around. You can hear through the walls and when you ask for a clue, you have to wait if your host is "scaring" the other rooms. The lobby used to be nice with cool decor and now it looks like trash. Bathrooms were dirty and the entire place in general was dirty. Sad because under the old ownership, it was a cool place. I'm glad we booked a second room at another location to make up for a crappy night. If they charged $15 a person, you would feel you spent too much. we've played 150+ games and this was the last on our list. They either bought reviews or kept the ones from the...
Read moreI surprised my 10 yr old daughter with a trip here on her birthday and wow I'm so glad I did! The room that we got was "Alleyway" and it had a great story that made it fun to keep investigating and solving the many puzzles. My daughter was so into it and helped me figure out most of the challenges. We were pretty good at moving through puzzles but when we hit a tough one we asked the staff for a clue and they were super helpful! They did a great job of explaining what we had in store for us before we started our adventure as well. All around they were awesome and well mannered. We had so much fun on my daughters birthday that i booked another session for the very next day! We did the Jungle Gem room next day and it was even more fun than the first room. I really felt like I was in a different place and they really make you feel a sense of urgency and adventure while you're in the rooms. Big round of applause to this place. I highly recommend it if you're a first timer or a pro escape artist. Definitely will be going back again soon. If you're looking for an escape from the ordinary go to Breakouts Imagine Escape room you're...
