Disappointing Experience with Patio Land USA – Avoid This Place
I purchased Breezesta premium recycled poly furniture from Patio Land USA (1913 E Bearss Ave #500, Tampa, FL 33613) on December 19, 2024. At the time of purchase, I put half down, with the balance due upon delivery. The sales clerk informed me that both Patio Land and the manufacturer would be closed for the holidays, and my order would be processed once they returned. I was told the furniture would be delivered within six weeks from that point.
Poor Communication & Delays After six weeks had passed with no updates, I had to call Patio Land myself to check the status. They said they needed to email Breezesta and would get back to me in a few days. A week later, I had to call again because I had still heard nothing. I was then told my order would ship in two more weeks. After those two weeks passed with no word, I had to call yet again because Patio Land failed to provide updates on their own. Finally, on Thursday, March 13, I received a call stating my order had arrived, would be assembled over the weekend, and delivered on Monday, March 17. In total, I waited 89 days (almost three months) for my order—far longer than originally promised.
Delivery Disaster When the delivery team arrived, my wife asked them to take the furniture to the dock. They asked if they could drive 100 feet across the yard instead of carrying it. She agreed, unaware that the ground was soggy. Without checking the terrain, they drove through the yard, leaving deep ruts and getting so stuck they had to be towed out. Instead of waiting 2-3 hours for a tow truck, I used my own truck to pull them out, saving Patio Land over $170 in towing fees and preventing even worse damage to my yard. To their credit, the delivery driver was apologetic and even tried to offer me some money to help with the damage. However, I refused to take money from an employee since this was not his responsibility—it was Patio Land's. Despite the driver's good attitude, the staff at Patio Land itself never once apologized or took ownership of the situation.
Billing Issues & Zero Accountability The next day, March 18, I went to the store to make my final payment. First, they tried to overcharge me, but I caught the mistake by showing my original receipt. The sales clerk’s response? "Sorry, math is not my strong suit." I then brought up the significant damage to my yard, which would cost a few hundred dollars to fix. Instead of an apology or an attempt to resolve the issue, the sales clerk blamed my wife, saying she gave the driver permission to drive down. Even if she had, a professional delivery team should assess the ground before driving on it. If they had simply walked the path first, they would have seen the ground was too soft. When I suggested discussing possible solutions for the damage, instead of offering to check with the owner, the clerk just shifted the blame again.
Final Verdict Between the lack of communication, delays, billing errors, poor delivery execution, and zero accountability, I cannot recommend Patio Land USA. To top it off, after waiting 89 days for my order, I was left with yard damage that they refused to take responsibility for, despite the fact that I saved them over $170 by pulling their truck out myself. The only person who showed any professionalism was the delivery driver, who at least apologized and attempted to compensate me out of his own pocket—something the actual Patio Land staff failed to do. Read moreMy Husband and I recently visited Patio Land after searching at several different places not having any luck finding patio furniture or the service we were looking for. That all changed when we stepped into Patio Land and met Linda. She provided us with exceptional service and took the time to show us different options explaining the fabrics and quality of the products being offered. We purchased quality at an affordable price. Linda took the time to understand our needs and made suggestions to help us make the best decision surrounding our purchase. Patio Land was such a pleasant experience; Linda was very knowledgeable about the products and also very professional. She never once made me feel pressured to buy; instead she focused on providing both the product and service we were looking for. They get 5 Stars. Becky is also nice although she was not my sales person I could tell she and Linda work together as a team. I highly recommend Patio Land for all your outdoor patio needs. I am confident you will find quality at an affordable price along with...
Read moreUpon arriving this place is very nice. Employees are friendly & helpful.(there's a couple that cld work on being nice & efficient) The prices are ok...some could be a little lower but overall they're decent. My issue is when I say I'd like to look around quietly first to get a "feel" of the store... Employees don't seem to understand that concept most of the time. I was interested in a piece of furniture a while back.. When a brought up the stain on 1 of the seat cushions I was told it'll probably wash off! I asked for a replacement & I was promptly told that's more work & then everybody will expect the same thing over "a little stain" that it's "no big...
