This business operates very under handedly. I placed an order on line, for an in store pick up. I made sure that all of the materials I ordered were available and in stock for a pick up that day. In check out, Home Depot's system changed my order from an in store pick up to a home delivery 3 days later. I caught it the first time it happened because I needed to change my pick up person. The employee I spoke with I formed me that sometimes the system just defaults to home delivery and even though all of the products I ordered were available in the store, I couldn't change it back to an in store pick up. That option is not available to customers even though the system changed it without my knowledge. My ONLY option was to cancel the order within one hour of placing it so my card would not be charged and go into the store and purchase the items. I caught it the first time. The second time I didn't. I waited hours for the email notifying me my order was ready. It never came. I went online to check the status and that is when I realized they had done it again. Not only did Home Depot change my order from an in store pick up for that day to a home delivery 3 days later, they charged me a delivery fee. Because I failed to catch it within the first hour, I couldn't cancel the order until it shipped ( which I had to watch for so I could call back and csncel)and it took 3 business days, after the ship date, to refund my money. This is a very deceitful practice on the part of a major lumber company. I wonder how many people a day they do this to, to keep their in store stock from depleting, and get away with it. They tie up your money so in many cases, the customer has no choice but to accept this under handed practice. I refuse to let any company do this to me and my finances. I will not purchase anything from a company that operates so...
Read moreI have shopped at Home Depot for yrs and never really had any complaints. Last week I needed a 4 burner propane grill, after doing a little research, I found that Home Depot had just the right grill. However, several reviews stated that picking this grill up from the store in a box was not adviseable, due to discovering while trying to assemble the 4 burner Nexgrill, that parts were missing. So, too avoid any hassles, I purchased the grill and asked them to put it together. I was informed that their assembly guy was only in on Fridays, and this was last Saturday 10/13/24. Sooooo, I told them I would pick it up the following Saturday 10/19/24. Now this process took over an hour at customer service with no chairs for customers to sit on. Let me tell you, if you go to customer service be ready to be standing there for awhile! Other customers were shaking their heads telling me "good luck" as they were walking away! It was pitifully! Now, this morning Saturday 10/19/2025, I called them to make sure my grill was ready.....they told me that my grill was not assembled with no explanation as to why. I decided to go pick it up myself, and assemble it myself @ home. I carried my receipt to customer service, several people waiting, after 20 minutes another employee looked at my receipt, I told him the story, he said I'll go get it. I said Thank You. I waited another 20 minutes...still no grill! I decided that this place had become an absolute joke and asked for a refund right then and there. The young lady asked "why"? You got to be kidding me! She executed the refund. There are some serious customer service issues @ this location, I suggest management get involved and resolve them. Gotta go to Lowes and...
Read moreWe drove an hour to the Texarkana store late last night to pick up a bottle of muriatic acid which had been recommended by our plumber because my kitchen drain was completely clogged and he had exhausted all efforts using his tools. His tools wouldn’t pass a sharp 90° turn in the pipe. My husband and I were in a bit of a panic knowing if the acid didn’t work, we would be either busting up the tile and concrete to access the clog or cutting into the brick and running a new septic line for my kitchen sink. We grabbed the a gallon of muriatic acid, liquid heat, & crystal heat, thinking if one didn’t work, the other would. We stopped by the “Online Pickup” register asking a very knowledgeable man, Kevin, if would mind checking us out as an efforts to hurry out of the store since we had an hour drive home and we were anxious to see if the chemicals would destroy the clog (Drain-O Max did not work). I suppose Kevin could see the frustration on our faces and kindly asked what was going on. I explained. He told us of a different product that he felt confident would work, preventing us from having to buy all 3 of the other products. The product worked!!! I would like to commend Home Depot for employing Kevin and would like to shout out a huge “THANK YOU” to Kevin!! I believe he saved us a lot of money by preventing us from having to run a new...
