Belvedere Tiburon Library — Attraction in Tiburon

Well, it's definitely the noisiest library in Marin. With lots of people talking at normal, and above normal, voices. But even as remote as it is, the DVD selection is enormous. As is the book selection. And they even have a large number of good dvds and books for sale very cheap.

What the Library deserves lots of compliments for is their wonderful technical side rooms. You can see in the photos rooms where you can do transfers between 8 mm and VCR or DVD or to a computer. I firmly believe that public libraries should be for all, especially children, but that is clearly not the case here. My daughter tried to attend story time at the library today, and she was the only child asked to leave out of group of 20+ kids. The story time was designated for 0-18 months and though she's older than that (2.5 yo), she wasn't being disruptive and there were plenty of other kids older than the age limit. She is tall though, so she was singled out. When I called the librarian to ask why she was singled out, I was met with the worst attitude and she hung up on me. Suffice it to say we are...

Beautiful space with lots of resources. The used books are more $ than I'm used to (library sales are usually $0.25 - 0.50), but $1-2 isn't bad either, as I feel like I'm supporting the library.
