Rustic Bakery — Restaurant in Belvedere

My favorite bakery even in Larkspur Landing or here. I came in on last Wednesday and as there were no tourist but just the locals it felt peaceful and a day to spend your start at this bakery. I decided to get an orange juice, a croissant and I also bought a pain with dates and brie which is always delicious.

After that I bought another tea and a blueberry muffin to take with me. I love when people know their locals and when Ben (My favorite bakery even in Larkspur Landing or here. After that I bought another tea and a blueberry muffin to take with me. I love when people know their locals and when Ben (Rueben Becker) the local lawyer who has his office across from this bakery get's welcomed with; "Hello Ben, I will be right with you", you know they invest in their community. I got a little chat with Ben as I was deciding on what to take. He said I come here everyday and get my deliciousness and at 4 pm I get my soup.

I also have to give high praise to the man behind the counter as he has such a good vibe. While he is helping his customer he also greets the next one by saying; I see you and I will be with you soon. Great vibe he has and very polite. Wow what a customer service! The place also looks so clean due to the employees.

And yes I always come back to...

Good food, but, last time I went in, they made my order wrong. When I went back in to return what they gave me and get the correct order, the lady was nice and put in the correct order, then when they called my name, I said “thank you, I appreciate you remaking my salad”, the cook looked at me without saying anything, turned away and completely ignored me. It was already frustrating that I had to come back in, and then to receive that attitude for a mistake they made, very unprofessional and rude behavior. I work right next to this bakery and used to recommend them to lots of customers, I now regret doing that and will not be coming here again. Rustic bakery is good, just not this location. The manager and the lady who took my order watched me get ignored and didn’t say anything as I walked out, they just watched me walk away. I would understand if I was being rude or taking out my frustration on them, but I wasn’t, I was very polite and told them to take their time. My politeness was not reciprocated. I’m not sure why me asking them to correct my order would result in this rude behavior, but I surely will not be coming back or recommending this location to anyone again. On Sunday, October 27th, 2024 The young lady at the register took my Mocha order. I requested to PLEASE no whip cream and 2% milk. The young man who made the order said that the instructions included whip cream and I wouldn't be surprised that it was with whole milk which I'm lactose intolerant but wanted to curtail a little. I even tipped her 15% from my very hard earned minimum wage income. I'm so disappointed. The young man removed the whip cream and graciously asked if I wanted more steam milk. I asked him if the instructions called for no whipped cream and, but he said it called for whipped cream. I thanked him and left. I will not encourage my customers and clients to stop there any longer. Either she didn't hear, although she paused and looked like she was punching in the instructions or she did that intentionally. Not good in the least. Terribly...
