We chose this hotel to celebrate our anniversary and booked the romance package, which included a dozen roses, bottle of champagne and chocolates. Our room had a small balcony with two chairs and a table - plenty of room to enjoy the view of the bay. I wasn’t sure when we booked the view king if we would spend time on the deck but we used it to enjoy coffee, to sip champagne and to watch dolphins and seals frolic in the water below. It was definitely worth booking and we would do it again. Nancy and Lupita at the front desk were so helpful and kind from the moment we arrived to the time we said goodbye. Nancy made the best recommendations - and we took her up on her suggestion to try out Servino Ristorante, which was some of the best Italian food we have ever had. Nancy bent over backward to help us with whatever we needed. She’s so kind and very driven to help. What a gem! The evenings of wine on the deck by the fire pits and the breakfast delivered to our door each morning were such lovely aspects of this hotel. We also loved how close it was to the ferry and took advantage of the chance to visit nearby Angel Island. This was such a special experience. We will definitely be back!

We stayed at Waters Edge Hotel in Tiburon to celebrate our engagement, and it was such a memorable and romantic experience. Our room was cozy, elegant, and beautifully designed—with the in-room fireplace adding the perfect touch of warmth and ambiance. Waking up to the view of the bay was breathtaking, and the breakfast-in-bed service made our morning feel luxurious and intimate. The hotel’s location right on the water and in the heart of charming Tiburon made it feel like a dreamy getaway. Everything from the décor to the peaceful atmosphere felt intentionally curated for rest and celebration. The views alone are worth the stay, and we’re so glad we chose this hotel for such a special occasion. The only slight downside was an interaction with one front desk employee whose sarcastic humor came across as a bit passive-aggressive. It was a minor moment that didn’t overshadow the overall wonderful service and experience, but worth noting. Regardless, we wouldn’t hesitate to come back for another special occasion or romantic weekend.

Amazing view of the Bay, Angel Island, Alcatraz, & SF at a good price BUT...................||First the good: 1) View = Amazing, 2) Location in Tiburon = Great. Many good restaurants, bars, the ferry to Angel or SF, and tourist shopping are all, steps away. 3) Our room which is their best was large with a deck, comfortable bed & nice towels. and the mini-breakfast w pastries is nice.||Now the bad: 1) The staff at the front desk is really poor. Almost rude and unhelpful. For instance: 1) We got here early and just wanted to have them store our bags till check in. We were told out room would be ready by 12:30-1pm so we unpacked our car (by ourselves) onto a cart from the street and stowed it in a conference room and planned our day around when she said it would be ready. When we came back at 1:45, we were told the room would not be ready, they sold the occupant more time, and check in was 4 anyway, which would have been fine, but we planned our day and clothes around her first schedule and had to cancel/ modify our plans. 2) We came back at 4:30, checked in, got to the room, and there was on overwhelming smell of bug spray which stayed in the room all the rest of the day and night. We kept all the windows open and slept cold last night. Our noses and eyes kinda burned. 3) They use duraflame fake logs. When ours was done, we called the desk and asked for 2 more. Steven said they would be right up. 1/2 hour, 1 hour later, and nothing, my wife called back and asked again for 2 more duraflame logs. This time he told her they only would bring 1 at a time. When my wife said we'll only burn 1 at a time but didn't want to call every hour, he said ok, they would be right up. 1/2 an hour, 1 hour, 2 hours went by.......and no logs so we gave up. 4) I called the desk in the evening and asked if they had any coffee I could get. He asked, "fresh brewed"? Yes I said. "We have a fresh brewed coffee station near the lobby. So I went down and poured a couple of cups, a worker said it was cold and offered to nuke it in the micro, which he did. Got back, gave it a sip and still just warm and terrible, was obviously brewed that morning. Sooooooo, we sat there in our bug spray smelling room, with all the windows open, no fire in the fireplace, burrowed in covers and watching TV which was mounted in a separate room about 25 feet away. 5) Our room (their best) is sold with a great balcony/ view, which it has. HOWEVER, the room is at the end of the hallway where their public seating deck (with great views) is located, So our deck is attached to that deck, so in essence everyone in the hotel is invited to your/ our deck with zero privacy. And worse, we couldn't open our blinds because everyone on the deck, walked by at eye level looking into the room, day & night! 6)And last, the property is in obvious disrepair, with dry-rotted wood everywhere, poor paint jobs, and old stuff.||You...

Plans were to watch the opening sailing day on the Bay and celebrate our anniversary early.Inclement weather busted opening sailing day, but since we rented the best room which was on the deck overlooking the Bay we enjoyed every minute of it. Many sail boats nearby decked in flags but stayed in port.||The nearby top quality restaurants are all walkable even for semi handicapped me. We love Luna Blu the best but many other choices nearby. Lots of boutique shopping all around the hotel entrance.||I have been there before. Other rooms not on deck are extremely nice, and you have deck access with ample seating, fire pits, so you can bring the 5 o'clock cheese and wine outside and nosh. Excellent choices for these comped snacks.People are always pleasant here per our experience and have had some interesting conversations on the deck.||The staff is amazing, helpful, kind and interesting. Obviously chosen for people skills. The entrance has limited parking but staff will come out to assist you if you have a traveling circus of bags like I do. Parking is off site, public lot nearby, safe and secure so far no problems, with in and out privileges. I have walked farther at some big hotels.||Simple breakfast is served at time you set. Nourishing and tasty but not full on American breakfast which you can find nearby.||I cannot express the wonderful time we spent there. Many interesting sites. One day on a lark we did a day trip to Inverness and back for the stunning scenery (have a full gas tank folks). Inverness is remote. Great Bay area location, upscale, without the grime, crime and infrastructure problems most Bay area locations are experiencing, Views of San Francisco from the deck knock your eyes out.||For beauty, service, good beds, great restaurants, knock out views this is the spot to take your loved one for a special occasion. Your choice will be rewarded by the...

I have stayed here a few times in the past with a wonderful room and great experiences. Its usually a place where I can decompress. This was the first time I booked it with award points from my credit card. My reservation was for a deluxe room but was given a basic room. I know this because I have booked a deluxe room on my 3 previous stays. When I went back to the front desk he said it was a deluxe room and even though the photos on the booking site showed it as a basic room he said he couldn’t move me because they were booked. The front desk person said it was booked through Expedia and that is what you are given. So I decided I had to make the best of it. |The restaurant next door, Malibu Farms was really good. Had a great artichoke pizza. Lots of fresh food. |Then the room next to me, the guests were super loud all night. They kept their balcony door open, which connected to mine. I had to keep by balcony door open a bit because it was so stuffy in my room and the AC didn’t seem to be working. The guests in the room next to mine continued to be super loud until 3:30 am at what time I finally tried calling the front desk to complain. No one answered the phone and had to leave a message. Needless to say, I was awake the rest of the night. |I had ordered and early breakfast the night before, which comes with the room. I left early and took a drive north. When I got back at noon, the front desk person said he spoke with the manager and wanted to upgrade my room for the inconveniences I experienced. The room they upgraded me to has a beautiful view and its own pretty large balcony. This is why I keep coming back here whenever I’m in the...
