I usually go to Sam’s which is next door and wanted to give this place a shot and I highly regret it now. I live in Marin and visit Tiburon pretty often, but it was a first time for my friend who lives in San Francisco. We showed up 5 mins before our reservation and got seated pretty quickly. First of all, their menu and food quality is below the average. We picked the appetizer and main course and ordered some bubbles too. The food came in pretty quick, but our waiter hasn’t checked on us much and the only time he would come his question was “are you still working on it” when we had almost full plates. They were kind of rushing us and it was too freakin obvious. We were there for 2 hours and apparently they have 90 minute limit, but that’s ridiculous cause there were empty tables around and we were on a tiny table for 2 not even occupying 4-5 people table. It was a long time I haven’t seen my best friend and we wanted to have a nice day together and enjoy the beautiful view and lunch, but it was all ruined. When waiter finally approached us I asked him for a dessert menu, he told that I will bring it, but you have a time limit and you are over it and we might have another reservation. Ridiculous, cause they had empty tables around. He also took away our plates when we had 60% food left there. I am sorry that we eat a bit slow according to your standards, but I had some work done with my teeth recently and just physically can’t finish my meal in 15 mins. I was shocked honestly and wanted to leave this horrible place ASAP. It was hard to get someone’s attention to ask for a check and I asked one lady walking around to bring our bill. She apparently was the owner and I told her that we didn’t feel comfortable cause we were literally forced out. And she didn’t even make it better, she told that there is a time limit and we have been here for over 90 minutes ( and yes, we were there for 120 minutes) and she mentioned that they are striving for the business. Well, coming from hospitality, retail and marketing myself I can totally tell that this is not how businesses are striving nowadays. People have been locked down for a long time and excited to go out, socialize and discover the places. With a good service and attitude you can make yourself a free marketing called “word of mouth” and bring in more customers, but obviously you failed. Average food, terrible customer service is all to expect from this place. I will just continue to go to Sam’s and enjoy better food and...

Was here Saturday night to celebrate my lady-friend's birthday as she picked a place that reminded her of Italy being she's from Europe. She noted this was a birthday celebration and the reception confirmed this as well.
The reception was great, as the lady who greeted us helped to accommodate a small change in the schedule, showing great flexibility and wonderful customer service.
The ambiance was amazing as we had great views of the Tiburon Bay, and it was such a beautiful evening with calm waters and a very light breeze.
The food was fantastic! I wish I took a picture of our plates, but I was both pre-occupied with birthday celebrations and what I found was a lack of "energy and spirit" from our Server, Elvin.
We had a mixed evening because of the lack of service as he was not engaged with us during the service, quickly leaving at times even though the restaurant was not overly busy. My lady-friend tried to get his attention a few times, yet he seemed focused on other things where a skilled and present Server would note hand gestures and waves. Then after brining our desert, he realized he "forgot" to acknowledge her birthday with the traditional candle, and apologized an comped the desert. Considering I spent what I spent for dinner and drinks, it was a very small token but seemed to be what was constant for the evening...a lack of presence and customer service.
I did note how well he served a large party of ladies right next to us, seeming to be very engaging, overtly-friendly, and attentive...something that for whatever reason, was lacking at our table.
Definitely expected a better experience considering the options for dining, considering the fact we chose this establishment for this occasion while I have other preferable options in Tiburon and Sausalito.
I would have rated the service lower than a "3", however the Busboys were amazing and attentive, and I wanted the rating to be...
Read moreIf waterfront dining in ideal romantic settings with a vista of the city of San Francisco across the bay sounds appealing, then Luna Blu is an experience you must try. I came here on my honeymoon and found the most warm, elegant ambiance in a beautiful locale with views of the San Francisco Bay and skyline of San Francisco. Wild bougainvillea and fragrant fresh roses adorned the outside dining space that was kept at the perfect temperature by outdoor heaters leaving me comfortably warm and relaxed and engaging all senses of sight, smell, touch. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable and attentive without being obtrusive allowing for the perfect romantic date. I selected the Cioppino of fresh Salmon, monkfish, clams, mussels, calamari, prawns in a light tomato garlic broth. I asked for sommelier suggestions and with the servers in depth knowledge of wine (both its region and unique characteristics) chose a white feudo maccari from Sicilia. My entree was exquisite with aromatic layered flavors and tender saporific textures melting on the palate. If I wasn't on a romantic date, I honestly would have probably licked the plate. The wine was opulent, refined, intellectually satisfying and crisp with a hint of fruit. The entire experience was perfect from the moment I entered the restaurant with its twinkling blue lights and expansive paintings and smiles welcoming me. This is not only the best Italian and Seafood I've ever had, it is also the most romantic restaurant I've ever encountered. It's the perfect setting for honeymoons, proposals or anniversary dinners. It's not just a high caliber restaurant, it is a complete romantic memory waiting to be experienced. Luna Blu is the place for romance, a MUST for anyone looking to have their senses heightened with delicious food, delectable wines and a seriously...
