we have been purchasing items from this company for over 10 years now. We have had a few ups and downs over the years, but nothing egregious. Until now. My husband wanted to buy me a really nice birthday present so we went looking for a chain that I could put the jewelry that I make on and wear it. Alissa was very helpful and pointed me to a beautiful new chain called a paper clip that had a front closure that is perfect for wearing my larger pieces of jewelry that I make. Unfortunately, it wasn’t long enough as it only came in 18 inch. So we decided to order the bracelet and combine them together if they were close enough match. The links of the bracelet were a tiny bit short, but we decided that it would work if they cut the bracelet in half and put the ends on the back of the necklace by the class as it wouldn’t be seen. if it had been done correctly, it might’ve been OK, however, upon closer inspection after I arrived home, we noticed that they put half of the bracelet links on the back of the chain and half of them on the front of the other side of the chain. so we took the chain back and explained what was wrong and the jeweler said he would fix it and it would take about 20 minutes. After arriving back about 45 minutes later, we looked at the necklace and discovered that while the bracelet links were now moved to the back of the chain. There were nine on one side and seven on the other. Clearly that was going to make it lopsided so we asked him to fix it by switching one bracelet and one necklace link so that it would even out the sides. He left with the chain again and after coming back 45 minutes later, he definitely moved the bracelet link but not the necklace link so it was still lopsided. I honestly don’t even know what to say about this whole experience. The Shawdy workmanship, the lack of quality control before this piece ever left the jewelers bench and the expectation that I as a customer having spent almost $2000 would walk out of the store with a piece of expensive 14 karat gold jewelry that was mangled and mishandled. Maybe I don’t understand the expectations to become a master jeweler anymore, but I have to feel that this is not up to the expected par. After coming into the store for the fourth time, and after four modifications to the chain, we decided that we were not happy with the end result, check the picture out below, and ask for a full refund. The management was willing to give us the refund, although I will have to say that not one time did any management ever come out front to talk with me. The Customer Service from the management at the chain company was embarrassing. Actually it was nonexistent. I dealt exclusively with Alissa today and she was very helpful, courteous, and showed great concern and care for me as a customer. I have to say that my experience with the staff members that I dealt with over this experience was severely lacking with Alisda being the only person that even seem to care. This is embarrassing, Shane company. Alissa Asked if she could at least give me the clasp as that is what was the maker break on the necklace for me as a show of good cause. Management refused and apparently that is the Hill they choose to die on. Because of this Devil may care attitude of helping out a customer Shane will not get any more of my money nor will I refer them to anyone looking for quality jewelry. Oh, and I ordered 14 karat gold paper clip chain from Rio Grande jewelry supply and I will now make my own birthday present! EDIT: in regards to your reply, I find it disconcerting that you would expect me to reach out to you as a company instead of your management reaching out to me, trying to keep my business. Showing I matter and you care. Having worked in customer service for many years this is rather appalling and lackluster in customer care.

Long story short: Come in with an idea of what diamond stats are important to you, you may be surprised that many I1 diamonds and low colors look good, but get excellent cut always! Order from website if you have to! They will order in diamonds from website and they'll be there in 1-2 days, and you'll be able to be very selective as there is a large selection. Also, Sean and Mia are EXCELLENT sales associates, and Amanda with customer service is seriously the sweetest! Long story (not short): We purchased my first engagement ring here in 2015 and had a good experience, and as it was now time for an upgrade we went back in. We felt some pressure from our sales guy, as we were just trying to learn what diamonds are good, what "stats" we really needed, etc. while he was very adamant that "stats" didn't matter, which I agree with to an extent, but... We ended up leaving having purchased a ring, which wasn't my full intent for the day but was fine. When I picked it up three days later, I realized the cut of it looked very small compared to my other 2ct stone. As it wasn't a cheap diamond by any means! I found that the cut was only fair, which was causing it to face up very small and not have the performance it should have. Who wants a 2ct rock that faces up like a 1.6ct? Not me! So I set out researching, looking at their website for other diamonds and other forums for diamond information. I emailed multiple times to no avail (just call if you ever have an issue), and was contacted by Sean after I put in a phone call. He emailed me after his work hours, I gave him my list of specs I would like to see for a new diamond along with my top 3 from the website. He looked them over and called me the next day right when he said he would to discuss the options, what he thought looked best, and they were in within 1-2 business days depending where the diamond was coming from. I met him with him for the first diamond that came in and it was excellent, then the next business day and I met with Mia. She was such a great help and really helped me to feel no pressure, and no stress over wanting a diamond change so soon into owning the ring. Never once did I feel judged, discouraged or pressured to do anything! She was completely understanding of the situation and her goal 100% was for ME to be happy with my purchase. Mia gave me space while comparing the two diamonds, encouraged me to see them in different lighting throughout the store, even helped me through my struggle of deciding between the two very beautiful stones. I am thrilled with her customer service, and for every future purchase, I'm asking for Mia or Sean! I've now received my ring with the new diamond and I am thrilled. The light performance is incredible, and even though it is "lower" color, you'd never know. It is a triple excellent that only has 2 small inclusions in very specific lighting, which I am thrilled about. Overall, my experience at ShaneCo had a SLIGHTLY rocky start, but I do see that they were just working with the inventory that they had in the budget that we had. It took ordering in to find a near 2ct stone with excellent cut, and I'm sure if the salesman had had it in stock the first time he would have shown me. He was very kind! But thankfully, Shaneco has excellent customer service, and my diamond was just considered an upgrade as it was $60 more (best $60 I ever spent!). I highly recommend ordering in from the website if they've not got something that you want in store! And working with Sean or Mia. They were incredible! Thanks again you two!

Having probably spent 200k on diamonds over the past 30 years at the Shane company it is always my go to. All three wives got wedding rings there my daughters got ear rings and there have been tennis bracelets etc. some rings have been over 30k in a single solitaire. Needing to complete this solitaire engagement ring and turn it into a wedding ring I grabbed my fiance' and headed to Shane company. Getting there late we walked in and the two gals standing closest to the door seemed disappointed to see us so close to closing time. One of them did greet us and after we told her what we wanted we began to look at sets. Her attitude was dismal and we finally asked to work with someone else when she was downright rude. The next gal seemed much more pleasant but told us the rude one was actually her boss. Once we picked the set we wanted, we said we wanted to offer $7000 against a listed price of $7250. We saw her eyes meet with her boss and she quipped "we don't do that" I told her I had purchased dozens of stones and jewelry over the years and was always given a discount. I stated diamonds have the highest markup of any retail product and we were often given a 10% discount or more and I was only asking for 3% discount just as a courtesy for being a repeat customer. She quickly started to close the case and put away rhe rings as her "boss" watched. We felt completely brushed off and were amazed how rude the staff was. The slogan is "you have a friend in the diamond business". It turns out that's a lie. No matter how much money you spend or how many times you buy from the Shane company you are simply the next victim of an industry the not only has the highest markup but also rude overpaid employees that are not only abrasive but smug. You just lost a lifetime customer Shame on you

I’ve heard good things about ShaneCo so I was really disappointed in my experiences with two of their sales people.

My boyfriend and I came to browse about a month ago. Kal helped us and seemed very knowledgeable. She showed us various settings and diamonds. We had no intention of buying because it was our first time looking. Ultimately, we decided on a diamond shape but I wasn’t in love with any of the loose stones he showed me. They didn’t have a 1.7-2 carat size I wanted. Kal assured us he would see if any of their other stores had something closer to what we wanted and email us if he found something. A couple weeks went by and no call or email from Kal.

We then returned again and were helped by Isabel. She showed us various settings and loose diamonds again. I had decided I wanted to go with the round halo setting she showed us. I was also leaning towards a 1.5 carat round stone instead of something closer to 2 carats. We decided to pick a higher quality, smaller diamond. She convinced us to make the setting purchase and we could find the stone later. I had previously tried on a 2 carat halo setting so I wad familiar with the size. She assured me the ring I was wearing was the 1.5 carat halo setting. I told her it looked a little big and she assured me again it was a 1.5 carat halo setting. We agreed to purchase the setting. When she stepped away, I looked up the serial number of the ring I had on, on their website and it was for a 2.0 carat setting. It is disappointing that one of their trained consultants couldn’t decipher a 1.5 vs 2.0 carat setting. She said she would transfer some diamonds from other stores so we could see them in person. She took more than a couple days to email me back after I sent her some diamonds I was interested in. She found us two diamonds and again tried to pressure us to buy them. We ultimately ended up buying a loose diamond from another company to have placed in the ShaneCo setting. I emailed this to let her know and we did not receive a response.

I purchased the diamond from another company to have it set and the two girls at the service desk were very friendly. It took four days to set the stone like they had promised. I will say I’m disappointed because even though the setting was purchased at ShaneCo, they did not give my boyfriend a ShaneCo box when he picked it up. They just handed it to him in a pouch. I feel like we weren’t treated as well as we would have been if we had bought a stone from Shane. This is again disappointing because we had bought a $1,785 setting from them.
