Went in a few weeks ago to purchase a Nintendo Switch console. I had called in ahead and THANKFULLY they had 2 left on the shelf. I know they cannot hold systems so I tried my best to rush out. I was dealing with severe food poisoning and knew the risk that I might not make it in time. I called as I was pulling in and 1 still was there. So I got in, and hobbled my way back to electronics. As I was about halfway through the store a kid came SPRINTING passed me, he literally almost knocked one of their corner shelves off when he smashed into it. I didn't really think much of it til I realized he was sprinting inside the store to buy that last console. Now I've actually seen this person, and reported him on facebook for scalping these consoles. My understanding is that you're not allowed to run inside the store, or purchase for resale. I told the electronics person while ringing up the kid that he ran and nearly knocked over shelves and people and that according to Targets policies resale isn't allowed (they even had a sign up back there) and showed him posts of the kid reselling them for $100 over cost. He didn't even deny it. The associate didn't care, rang him up and that was that. I contacted the store and they said they "take safety seriously" and that was the extent of the response I got. Yet a few weeks later when they had more in stock, I lined up 35 minutes before opening, I was 3rd in line. I'm not going to run through a store like an infant. But what happened, well the line of like 30 plus people turned into a race, people running all different ways into the store, one guy didn't stand in line he stood across from the door and when doors opened he ran straight inside cutting nearly everyone. When we got back to electronics, there was like 5ish consoles.. Myself and one other person in the front of the line said "there was a line outside it should be sold to the line in order of people" and the associates were like.. Nah first come first serve. Nobody in the front 8 or so spots in the line got a console that day either. So the short version, Target doesn't care if you run through the store, especially when running is super bad because of COVID and the potential for spread, they don't care if that endangers people, they don't care if it screws over people who abide by their rules, and they don't care about resellers despite their apparent signs and policies. One of these days someone's going to bump someone into a shelf and someone's going to be seriously hurt because...
Read moreDrive up order placed recently was a full 36 hours before it was ready; for context- the app says 2 hours. I went in to see if they had an item in stock in electronics - it wasn't out in the display case it was supposed to be & I can't find an employee for close to 20 minutes. The entire electronics section looks like a ghost town- empty shelves, boxes and stock carts on the floor, etc.; when I finally find an employee he's making an agreement to help what I assume is an eBay-er secure iPad pros (again, I assume to sell). Customer tried to tip the employee $100 - the kid turned it down, but I suspect that was because I was watching. I overhear him tell the guy they're not getting stock due to the remodel. Finally tells the guy he needs to help me, I barely get out the info of what I'm looking for and the kid cuts me off and goes "we don't have it". Great. Waste of time. I go look for sunscreen - tiny selection, mostly store brand, and mostly 30 spf or tanning oil. Terrible selection. I didn't buy anything. When I picked up my order I asked when the remodel would be done - ETA is September- I'll be going to another location until this is done. I've ran retail stores- if I was the GM here I would be EMBARRASSED how my store was being run. I've ran a store during a remodel - the only way to make up for poor stock and messes during a remodel is service & this store absolutely fails in this.
Review gets 2 stars because my order was ready and the gal who helped me...
Read morei had two bad online orders pick up experience The first pickup took about 30 minutes in the same line of return orders. Probably due to crowds line is really long the customer desk has only one staff member . won’t be possible to have separate online order pickup spot during busiest hours or assign more staff? The recent online order was totally disappointing. It was my last day to pick up the online order i got both reminders and emails to confirm the order is ready. i drove extra minutes to this store. wait in line patiently. I saw a lady waited long time (5-10 minutes) for her online class order . When it is my turn , the guy went back after 5-10 minutes and asked me when i placed the order i told him the confirmation it was my last day to pick up.He said he can’t find it maybe it is last day someone put back. Then a friendly team leader came by and checked at back again after 5 minutes he told me some staff member might put my order somewhere different location he can not find it too. Now i can see how disorganized the online order handling process is at this location. It seems like a management issue. He apologized and i decided to ask him for cancellation. Hopefully this location can improve! It wasted me more than 30 minutes
i haven’t tried curbside pickup but i will not do online order pickup at this target location anymore...
