I previously worked as a kitchen manager for Chipotle in California, this has provided me with an in depth knowledge of the expectated quality and service that should be provided. Unfortunately this location just can't pull it together. I live very close by and regular this establishment. First, portions vary wildly. One employee will give me the smallest amount of rice and beans imaginable and a tiny scoop of sofritas, the next time someone will throw 3 spoon full of rice before we even get started. One employee will basically put a single drop of sour cream the next will smother the heck out of it. Second fault is the inconsistency of burrito wrapping. I know it sounds silly, but truly it's an art and typically half of my burritos fall apart or the inside of my foil is drenched in sauce, sour cream and queso. Lastly is the customer service. While a few select employees treat me well, the majority have a bad attitude and seem to literally not care about you or your food. I understand people have bad days, I understand it gets busy. But I typically come during off hours and always greet with a smile and try to make conversation but almost always get nothing back. The quality of the food and cleanliness of the restaurant is definitely the saving grace. Food is always kept up to temp, tastes fresh and the line is kept clean. I will continue to go since its so close to my house but I really think with some small changes, polite service and some consistency on the line this location could...
Read moreI didn't want to wait in line so I ordered online. Unfortunately I was a little after 1:30 so my pickup was scheduled at 2. I got there to a huge line. I waited at the register and after 3 people went by, the cashier finally acknowledged me. She asked me, "How can I help you?" I responded telling her I was here to pick up a prepaid order. She walked to the wall and picked off a paper then handed it to the chef. At this point, I was livid. I used online order to make this faster. She then proceeded to tell me to get in line. If I was going to wait in line, I would've gone there 30 minutes ago when I was actually hungry. I waited for 10 minutes finally getting to the cashier again. To my utter disbelief, she didn't apologize. I expressed my concern and told her they need to pay attention to EVERY customer. She said they were busy. I own my own retail store. I understand busy, but customers come first. With no apology or anything but excuses coming from this cashier, the cook, who did nothing wrong at all, apologized for her. Can someone please give her a raise and train everyone like her? I can't believe a store this big could sink this low. Think about how busy Starbucks is every day and they even remember names. Now that's customer service. Never going here again and would not recommend to anyone. Go to Baja Fresh. Same prices, free chips, salsa bar and you get one of their big cups and drinks are a...
Read moreCurrently our Chipotles are take-out and delivery only, after ordering online. Those are unfortunately the parts that don't work. The online order system takes your order and your money, then promises a pick-up time unrelated to reality. It appears that the order system has NO IDEA OF HOW MANY ORDERS AWAIT FULFILLMENT at your selected store. This is because the staff have no way to notify the system when an order is actually completed. Thus there could be 1 order in the queue or 73. . . It's all the same to the system. It takes your new order and offers pickup as soon as 10 minutes from now, regardless of the jam-up in the restaurant.
It's astonishing to me that the company puts its workers and customers in such a ridiculous situation.
This is not the only systems issue contributing to chaos, but it's the most obvious. When you get to the store at dinner time, you find many Postmates drivers and other would-be food recipients standing around. . .more people than a restaurant is permitted to contain at present due to new record numbers of covid cases almost daily.
When the chain closed due to food contamination, I thought it terrible luck. But maybe it was the same operational genius we now see revealed in the order system.
(Food was very nice, eventually, so 2...
