We were looking forward to this restaurant given the proximity to our house. We called today and ordered to go the Parrillada jumbo. When we picked up the order, to our surprise it was four individual styrofoam containers each with a single split and charred sausage, 2 medium size shrimps, and a bit of unseasoned fajita and some pastor meat. The plates were also accompanied by a mound of grilled onions and bell peppers, which helped make the meat serving look plentiful. The rice was dry and the guac was half decent. We also ordered queso flameado, and an horchata, the queso, was ok, but the horchata was disappointing. I don’t know about their other offerings, but After this experience we are not planning on going back. Just travel 4 extra miles and you can enjoy a decent Parrillada at out usual Mexican restaurant on the corner or Spring Cypress and Kuykendahl. Good luck!

Got the Mar y Tierra meal and paid about $16 on everything that I purchased. While I thought that was a steal of a deal for what I got, but I was wrong. I gave this place two stars because of all that I received, however, the food was not good at all. It seemed as if the food had been sitting for awhile. Originally, I was going to do takeout, but I opted to dine in. When I asked to dine in the lady that was serving, walked away from me as I was asking her a question which I thought was rude. The next reason I have given a less than favorable review is because, not one time was I checked on or asked if I needed anything, nor given chips like the other guests had received. Due to the subpar service, and not so great food, I opted to leave. I didn’t even finish my food. Will not be spending my hard earned money here again and I personally wouldn’t recommend.

I walked in and was greeted and walked to be seated. Chips and salsa were brought and my beverage order was taken. Looking at the menu, there is a large breakfast, lunch and dinner selections. I decided on Migas and a side of beacon. My plate arrived, the potatoes were in a stew type with some tomato, very tasty. The beans were on point as well as the Migas. My coffee was served hot with sufficient creamer. I was the only customer on a Friday morning. Over all great customer service. Plenty of space for a large family. I would return as well as recommend to friends. This location has a drive up window. Clean mens restroom.

I always tend to give the benefit of the doubt... I've been here several times, breakfast, lunch, dinner, dine in, takeout. I've tried different things recommended this place because its decent price but you get what you paid for. The other night my daughter wanted barbacoa, so I ordered her two tacos plain. Told the girl 3 times, please make sure they are plain. Are you sure they're plain, ok just to make sure no veggies just plain?? I get home & they have onions and cilantro. I go back and tell the man at the register, he never apologized, just asked me several times if I wanted plain tacos. So I made sure my daughter that is 6yrs old ate, we sat at the table. I ordered a soda & another taco for me just so she can eat and I was never offered chips &/or hot sauce. No one ever came to see if they can make it up for the inconvenience. They brought my ticket and I was given a few dirty looks. Today's incident my mom is ill and wanted tortilla soup so she asked me to go there. I didn't want to but because she is my mom & ill I went. Well the girl at the drive thru had the worse attitude ever when I was trying to ask her questions about the size of the soups. So I get home give my mom her soup & barely any meat and the avocado was already brown. Why even give it to me bad? I don't know if it's family owned & operated only but these people they hire must hate their jobs because the customer service is awful & they're not too bright. You are losing customers. If I can help it, NO I WILL NOT RETURN & NO I DON'T...

Use to be my favorite local place been going to the other location and this one for many years with my whole family...was in there over this weekend and as we was at the front ready to pay our bill our youngest son lost a quarter in the machines by the door so i went to help him at the machine ...as I was going to the machine our sever yells at my wife MA'AM WHOS GOING TO PAY! accusing us of trying to walk out on our bill ..it was very embarrassing and in front of other customers..and we got hit with automatic gratuity which we normally don't have an issue with coming in with my whole family plus grandma and grandpa...and we repeatedly asked if there was a manager and was told no...she tryd to tell us she had someone walk out on a tab the other day and thats why she did that ...no excuses ...just terrible..very disappointing and extremely embarrassing...ive spent tons of money over the years at viva. Most likely me and my family will never return because of this.

I beleive the servers name was blanca on...

The interior of this restaurant looks sanitary I will say that. My family and I visited this location and ordered the fajitas and a couple of other items. Everything was good until we found a hair in between the meat. We brought this to our servers attention and she tried to shift the blame on us and said it was one of our hairs. Then she proceeded to tell us that it looks like it's just a piece of lint and then told us she didn't see this as an issue as she's a server and understands things like this happen. Management didn't want to remove the charge of the fajitas and only offered a ten percent discount, then said the system only offered fifteen percent off and basically said we should be grateful. I've been to other locations and have never had hair in my food. This experience was awful and I will never return. I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO BE UNDERSTANDING OF HAVING HAIR IN MY FOOD WHEN IM PAYING FOR THE...
