Took my kids to see King of Kings last Friday and had our usual normal experience, but tonight was very different. My husband and I came to see the final part of The Chosen. We were one of two couples in the theater. The other couple was a row and a couple seats over from us. A random guy came in about an hour into the movie and stood on the steps at the end of the row we were in for about 5 minutes staggering back and forth a bit. Then came down the row a couple seats and sat down. The whole time fidgeting with something metallic sounding and looking around. He sat for about 10 minutes and then got up and walked over towards us holding up a lanyard with what looked like a key fob or something on the end. He didn’t say anything that we could hear or understand. My husband told him it wasn’t ours and he wandered off. He went down the stairs to the aisle that comes into the theater and just stood around for another 15 minutes or so. He made the movie going experience very uncomfortable. He didn’t appear to be an employee, if he was he had no name tag. So I texted a friend to call the theater and tell them what was going on. There seemed to only be 1 person even there working and she was a young girl who likely wouldn’t have been able to do anything if she had come to the theater as she told my friend on the phone. After he appeared to have left the man behind us asked if he had said anything to us and expressed how odd the guy was acting too. He then went out to look for the guy or the employee, I’m unsure. Our movie ended at 9:05 and we left. When we came out of the theater the hallway was dark, everything in the front concession and ticketing area was dark and there seemed to be nobody there other than the 4 of us that had been...

7/12/24 - I went online and bought tickets to see the movie Inside Out 2 for the family, $60.00 even (with tax). Spent $45.49 in concessions (large popcorn, 5 large drinks, and a bottle of water). I have 3 young daughters, two of which are pre-teens who were really excited to see this movie just due to the story behind it and the issues related to anxiety. We didn’t even get 10 minutes into the movie before there was a power surge. We waited slightly over an hour before I asked for a refund and left. They could not get the issue corrected or repaired. The kick is, we didn’t get the full $60.00 back because I bought the tickets online and evidently there is a “connivence fee” for doing that. We also did not get a refund on the concessions, when asked I was just told they couldn’t do that. I was dealing with a younger man, who maybe was just out of highschool and you could tell he was nervous so I wasn’t going to make a bigger deal outside of posing the question(s). Very disappointed in all of this as this was supposed to be a simple family outing that the kids were excited about. Especially over the hot topics of anxiety and from my understanding this movie does a great job of showing how things can work together, much like the first Inside Out did. Hopefully in the future things are corrected for this theater. At this point, we are extremely discouraged. We would rather support smaller, local places but perhaps this is why places like Regal, etc. are...

This movie theater is a hidden gem. If I could give more stars I would. First and foremost the staff is incredible. Ronnie greeted us when we arrived to watch a throwback film, 1989 Batman. Yes, they offer a throwback film I believe each Thursday. He was so kind and told us how he’s worked at this theater on and off since 1986 and was there when Batman premiered and told us how the line wrapped around the building. The entire establishment was spotless. Not a piece of trash to be found. Theaters and restrooms were spic and span. We ordered some popcorn and nachos. The nachos had a self serve cheese/chili station which you don’t really see these days. There is a game area when you enter with a coin machine as the games are operated by coin. This gave me nostalgia. I got old school 90’s vibes from this place in an amazing way. The theater seats are comfy and recline. They each have a nifty swivel tray that comes in handy for your snacks. After the movie I inquired with Neisha about the party rental room. She’s also worked there since the 80’s and was just as sweet as she could be. Oh and they offer all shows for $5.50 on Tuesday. I will go to this theater from now on exclusively and won’t waste my time with the big corporate chains like AMC. Premiere is by...

Very small theater that gets the job done, but some rooms aren’t as maintained as others. Went to a Superman screening and everything was perfect. The theater was small, A/C was on full blast, and the seats were comfy. Had an amazing time during the first visit so I returned a week later to watch Weapons. This time the experience was VERY drastic. As soon as we entered the theater there was a strong off putting smell of mildew and damp water smell. The theater was also relatively warm. We also experienced technical issues where the movie was turned off during a very important scene. This didn’t happen once, but twice. The seats were also very sticky in this theater and left weird yellow stains on my jeans. This last experience left me with no interest of returning. There’s a lot of maintenance that needs to be done to certain rooms so if you want a pretty basic theater to watch a movie this place gets the job done. On the other hand if you’re looking for a “luxury” experience this isn’t the place for you.

We enjoyed our visit to Premier Cinemas in Tomball! The theater was very clean, including the restrooms, which is always a big plus. It’s a smaller theater, but the prices are great and very reasonable for tickets and snacks. There wasn’t a lot of staff around, but everything went smoothly for us. The only complaint from the kids was that it was really cold inside — so we’ll definitely be bringing blankets next time! Overall, a great spot for a family movie.
