Poke Hut — Restaurant in Tomball

So the food is good. I mostly stick with a poke bowl. I prefer these small business poke restaurants over chains because they always have better selections. This place has great options, but compared to other SMALL poke restaurants I have frequented, with less clientele mind you, they are super stingy with their portions. They give the tiniest pinches of mix-ins and fish, and the price isn’t cheap. As a returning customer I put up with it but I’m tempted to see what other poke places in the area have to offer. The owners/workers seem unhappy and definitely are not generous whatsoever with portions. When I moved here this was my alternative to Ahi Poke on 1960/290, they gave great portion sizes and the store size and marketing are nearly identical. We were looking for something better than fast food when we passed the strip mall this tiny place is in. We each had ramen. I chose the Japanese Tonkotsu, my friend had the beef bowl. The prices seemed just a little high until the food came. The bowls were freshly made, had generous portions of each ingredient and the broth was very richly flavored. Must try! This little spot is deceptively low-key, tucked away in a strip mall. This hidden gem is sure to please anyone who loves Boba tea and healthy Asian style fare.
