As a first time visitor of Tomball and this establishment, this experience was nothing short of the experience a lot of people of color still have to deal with in the 20th century. I used a google search for popular, locally owned Italian restaurants for my son and I to grab some pasta after his soccer game played in Austin a few hours earlier. We walked in and to my surprise there was no one of color in the restaurant and several waitresses walked past avoiding eye contact. No one greeted us for at least 5 mins. The owner whom I did not know was the owner at that time walked past and said someone will be with you shortly and handed me a menu. Another waitress did shortly come over and took our order that we decided to take ToGo. As we waited we counted at least 10 other parties walked in, was immediately greeted and seated, even got their food to their table. After 25+ mins of waiting I was able to stop one of the waitresses to ask about my ToGo order, she went and got the owner(whom I still at this time did not know was the owner)who came over and said that she was going to check. I told her that I still needed to pay also. When she same back she had my ticket in her hand and not the ticket book and verbally mentions that she’s breaking rules, without furthering that conversation I handed her my credit card and asked how long would it be for my food since we’d already been waiting now over 30mins. She said your food is coming up. Optimistic, I said Ok and sat back down.15mins later still no food. I stopped a waiter of the many who walked by repeatedly and explained to her that I was wanting a refund after having to wait almost an hour for pasta! She never acknowledged my frustration and walks off stating she’ll be right back. The lady(owner) who took my order came over and says let me get your card to refund you. I asked for the owner and she smiles and says that she’s the owner. I gave her my card to get my refund.after an hour of sitting and waiting. The OWNER did not have the decency to offer any explanation or apology, her wait staff lacked unbiased customer service. I will never recommend this restaurant. I felt undervalued as a customer and couldn’t help but think that this is the systemic disease of a culture plagued with racist bias. When the owner of an establishment does not value ALL customers regardless of race, one can expect that very same behavior from those under their leadership. Sadly this was the case in this...

Update: Mother's Day, 2022 -
This place has gone downhill. We will not be returning.
The waitress was very sweet, but this must have been her first waitressing job and she was not trained well. She tried to bring the food out before it was all ready, leaving the grandmother without food. I asked that she being all the food at once, and she kindly complied. She did come check on us often, but we had to ask for refills for our waters. She seems smart, so I'm sure she'll get better. I tipped her well to help encourage her.
The food was really bad. Both my lasagna and my mother-in-law's spaghetti we're so sweet I couldn't taste anything but the sweetness. Not sure why they feel the need to put sugar in pasta sauce but it was way too much. The meatballs weren't brought out, bright arrived quickly after we reminded the waitress we ordered them. They were also sweet, yet bland and had a very soft texture that was odd.
My daughter's fettuccine alfredo looked terrible. It was just warm, but looked like it was made yesterday and just warmed up in a microwave. I'm a pretty good cook and I make Alfredo from scratch often. It's super easy to do and always turns out creamy, not clumpy. It's only clumpy after being cooled and then not warmed up properly, which I'm 90% sure happened here.
No sides or bread or anything else is served with what you order, so be prepared for that. After spending $98 on lunch, I expected to have way better food, better service and at least bread at an...
Read moreI was specifically looking for a restaurant serving fresh pasta and sauce (I am not sure I received that). I ordered 3 entrees: Capelli d’Angelo con Pollo all’Alan- I like pasta sauce with added sweetness; however it was two sweet and less savory, no balance. The cubed chicken was tough, not juicy. The noodles were just ok. The entire dish lacked flavor. Fettuccine Alfredo- nothing special, no fresh parsley added for at least garnish. Just a regular plate of noodles and sauce. Usually for the simply dishes, the chef may add a little appeal by twisting the noodles or something. Just no effort in the little details to give the impression you care about making the customer smile. Pollo Parmigiana (this was the biggest disappointment)- upon presenting the dish, the smell was off. I peeled back the cheese and the breaded chicken was borderline burnt, thin and tough. My bill was almost $100 and I can't believe how disappointed I was. I gave 3 Stars because the waitress was pleasant and kept bringing bread which was refreshing; however the bread was the cheap stuff, not the good bread and not all of the pieces were consistently toasted which caused conflict at the table, because everyone wanted the toasted ones. Overall I will not be returning and hope the quality of food...
