Sagebrush Inn — Attraction in Tombstone

Overall this is a fine motel. It is very close to the main area of Tombstone, A short 5-minute walk will get you to all the happenings. The cookies when you check in are very nice as well. Our room has been renovated and overall the renovations are very nice. A few complaints I have are as follows. First, the beds, very uncomfortable. I did not sleep well at all. They are hard, it with little to no cushion. I don't mind a firm mattress but these are just hard not cushy at all. My second complaint comes down to cleanliness. Appearably it does seem clean but when I went to take a shower there was a wet wet washcloth hanging over the shower curtain. Obviously, housekeeping missed this detail but it makes me wonder what else did they possibly miss and not clean properly? My other complaint comes down to the numerous windows in the room and none of them have blackout curtains. I'm a person who likes a dark room but that is a personal preference. Also, the air condition has a very bright light on it and it's up high so there's no way to cover it up with anything. Advertised as small but in our opinion that was a generous description. This room would be good for 1 occupant or 2 very, very slender individuals. For 2 of us average sized adults lack of space did not allow for much movement around bed, in passageway to door or bathroom. We were constantly in-touch. The room was exceptionally clean, fixtures nice and bath linens new. They have made a notable attempt to modernize but a few more hooks or shelves would have helped. It was more spacious to be outside and lean in rather than stand inside the stall when showering. Bed comfort was adequate. There were no TV instructions in room which would have been helpful. WIFI was as you would expect for an older building in a small town. Not as good at night when more users but better early morning. Rather than any face to face communication w/management everything was done self check-in, self check-out. If you needed assistance your were instructed to call and leave a message. I did leave 1 message, not urgent fortunately and the return call came they day after we departed. I'm not comfortable rating this as "average" and "very good" is a bit too high but it's...
