Cheese only, good counter worker: 5 stars Cheese only, bad counter worker: 2 stars Food options: 3 stars. Mac and cheese good. Grilled cheese burnt.

2025 Update: I still buy from here regularly, but be wary the customer service. If I see the same counter person I had today, I'm walking out. Interaction: Ask for 1/3 of a $30/lb cheese Worker cuts a wedge perpendicular and asks if I want just over 1/2 lb, which is now at least 30% rind. I point to the remaining piece with no edge rind and ask how much it weighs It had broken in half leaving only top rind. She checks that it weighs about the same and only then offers to cut that piece down to 1/3. Then THROWS OUT THE TRIMMED PIECE that was essentially ZERO RIND. My friend and I shake our head at eachother considering literally ANY other decision would've been better. I was ready to spend more there, but at that point just wanted to leave. My friend bought a small piece of a cheap cheese instead of trying more like we usually do amd we left.

I've been missing cheese shops since living in the city, so I'm glad to have found an outstanding one on LI. Arrived 15 minutes to close with barely any idea what to get, but Lauren and Jess were extremely helpful in picking out delicious cheeses. There was a nice plexiglass barrier at the counter to allow covid safe taste testing. They let me try a bunch of cheeses but I can't get the "OG gouda" as Lauren called it out of my mind. Salty, buttery, melt in your mouth, and finished with flavor crystals full of umami that lingered in the best way possible. I left with 4 cheeses after they closed with no complaint from the staff. Lauren and Jess were both just happy to help with knowledgeable recommendations and bubbly personalities. Affordable for the great food quality. Definitely plan on coming back to make a platter. 11/16/2020: Got platter, see photo. Did not disappoint....

It was my first time I came to their store and needed a large tray. I did not realize their policy was to order 24 hours before… I was in distress cause I was going to wine painting party and needed one right away… the staff was very understanding and since they were not busy at the time. They were able to make my order!!! I was so happy and impressed by how beautiful my tray was in short amount of time they made it. The staff was incredible and very accommodating. They helped me select my tray since they have a large selection of cheeses and meat and I couldn’t decide on what I wanted..It was a huge hit at the party and so Delicious!
