I had the best experience furniture shopping ever when I went into Bob's in Farmingdale NY. I went into the store this past weekend Sat April 6th to get furniture for 2 bedrooms and a sectional for my living room. I was promptly greeted by a wonderful customer service representative named Stephanie. Her smile and her true care for each customer she helps that comes through the doors it evident when you meet her. I explained what I was looking for, for each room and what my budget was. Stephanie never tried to sell me anything and most importantly she never pressured me into making a decision within the hour. We toured the store 3xs and went over quite a few options. I got everything I wanted and more within my budget. I also met her very helpful and thorough manager JD who assisted in making sure our delivery dates were locked in the system. I would definitely call Stephanie and JD the "Dynamic Duo". As a customer it's important to me that when I spending money that I receive quality over quantity, that my representative is listening to my needs and not trying to upsell me based on commission. I would recommend anyone, everyone, that is in need of furniture to go to Bob's in Farmingdale and ask for Stephanie and JD. It's representatives like them that make customer's return again and again because of value, quality and the willingness to put every effort into making sure the customer leaves happy and more than satisfied with their purchase. One more thing, I was shopping with my kids 1 being age 11 and the other under 2yrs old, while shopping my youngest began to cry and was in the stroller, Stephanie walked to the stroller and moved back and forth to calm my baby down while I was trying out a mattress. Such a wonderful experience, that I've never experienced before!! Read moreTwo years ago I furnished my entire apartment with bobs. My wife and I were very happy with everything. A few months ago a part of our sectional couch started sinking in amongst other issues. We purchased the goof proof which provided protection for all our orders. I called customer service to get it fix. The service tech deemed that part of the couch unrepairable. We were given a credit for only part of the couch which made no sense. I pleaded with them for over an hour trying to get full credit so we can buy a new couch. With no luck we just decided to use what we got and add to it. We walked into bobs and was greeted immediately by Ralph. Great fun guy, he showed us around a little and gave us time to talk and try out different couches on our own (which is how we preferred it). When we was ready I explained our situation, he pulled up our records and found it strange we didn’t get a full refund. He got Maryanne involved who agreed with him. I told them how I tried talking to customer service but they weren’t very helpful. Ralph and Maryanne than got their manager Mike involved as well. With their help we was able to get a full credit refund. We got our new couch and only paid the difference in price. They stayed late and worked hard to get it done.
