I went a little after 8am to make a purchase in the electronic section with locked items. There was no one there which i totally expected. I could hear some noise in the back so i went to that door which has clear plastic windows and saw a guy there so i knocked and he looked at me and continued his work which i didn’t think was strange at first because he just got to work. He looked directly at me when I knocked so i felt i’d just let him finish. He finished whatever he was currently doing in my view within a few seconds and then closed a vertical side door on the left then proceeded to walk to the right down some hallway out of sight. So i thought he must not work here. Then I went looking again for someone again and couldn’t find anyone so i went back to the door to wait for the guy. He came back in view for a few seconds looked at me and left again very casually and slow moving. I’m not saying he didn’t have things to do but i don’t understand why he couldn’t say one minute or something? It was like he literally didn’t want to help me. So then i thought he really must not work here because a worker wouldn’t do that. They would at least convey somehow that they will be with me in a few mins with a finger if they can’t come or let me know they can’t help me or something. I also don’t bang on doors, i think it’s rude and i didn’t knock again because i know he saw me. I wasn’t upset I’m like this guy doesn’t even work here leave him alone haha. Now at this point i called target on my cell and asked if they could send someone over and the girl very nicely said she would. So i went back to the electronics and the same guy from the back comes over. Right away i mentioned “i didn’t think you worked here because you looked right at me and walked away”. I said it very nicely though. He didn’t lie and say he didn’t see me which i feel is better than denying it. I grabbed the two items and he offered to ring them up but i really don’t like exchanging with ppl after they act like they don’t want to help me so i told him not to worry i’ll go to the front and ring it. I was nice and cheerful about it but I told him i had to go to work and hurried away from him. My timing was fine I just really don’t feel comfortable exchanging with ppl who don’t like servicing. But it was nice that he offered. His attitude once he actually came to help was totally fine. He seemed like a very relaxed down to earth guy wasn’t defensive or anything like that. But if you chose a career in customer service i do not feel it’s appropriate to ignore ppl because you don’t want to deal with them. Seriously, it’s customer service. I legit wasn’t bothered at first because I’m like that guy doesn’t even work here. Also it’s very close to opening etc. When i was leaving out the front exit the security personnel smiled and said he apologized for the wait. I thought that’s nice to have a system where if there’s a shortcoming it can be acknowledged. However, i didn’t mind the wait which is why i didn’t keep banging I think that’s rude. The guy saw me and showed no acknowledgement and I felt stupid that i actually said let me wait and let him finish what he’s in the middle of so i don’t mess up his flow. I want to say please next time just raise a finger or come to the door and ask for a few minutes time but i’m pretty sure it wasn’t that. I don’t think that he was ever planning on coming so that’s not even the solution. I think that there has to be a greater sense of compassion and respect if you chose to work in this field. I wondered if his coworker was late or if there was short staff and he just had the keys but didn’t usually work that area. He had regular clothes so anything is possible and I didn’t want to be rude and make him feel bad if there was an explanation. But like I said, it wasn’t the wait time at all, it was the lack of acknowledgement and I don’t feel there is any...

Read moreI am always eager to review a good company, good service, and a job well done. I have received great service at this Target location many times, EXCEPT Wednesday March 24, 2021. I was going in for Hip surgery the next morning and stopped in for 2 hours and spent nearly $300 on last minute items that I needed because with Hip surgery, you cannot shop for weeks after your surgery. When I got up front with a wagon full of stuff, I asked if there was a regular register open and I was told no. I had to stand in pain and crowd all the full bags around the register because I had to use the self checkout register for a large $300 order. I was visibly angry. There were 2 reasons for my dissatisfactory shopping trip to this Target. Poor front end management and placing a person without the common sense they should possess to actually hold this position for one of the largest most recognizable retailers in The United States. I don’t mind the option of shopping and checking your own order and then paying for for it, but I rarely use this option. I usually ask myself, sarcastically, should I pack the inventory out before I purchase, bag it, and pay for it? I will also admit to the transgression of not paying for the bags also-enough is enough!! Am I clutching my pearls, proclaiming I will never shop here again-No. I will however never spend $300 there ever again, and In the future-will glance to make sure I can have the option of being rung up by a cashier. If not, I will not shop there...
