I visit the town on rare occasion for work. Magic being my current obsession, was pleased that there was a LGS in town and ended up spending most of my spare time here using their digital POS and talking with the community. this was the first time Iâd ever even considered the miracle that is the digitization of card inventory. I understand that Iâm late and this is likely a standard that is nothing revolutionary tech wise, but what remains special in my memory was the environment that these store owners have cultivated. Sitting at that computer for hours, random times during the week in a town far away from home, I felt comfortable.I felt welcome, and I truely felt that this place one of those last bastions of real human kindness to exist our current post-capitalist hells cape. These âgamesâ, in my case MTG, is mostly a most importantly a human experience. this store has done a fantastic job making anyone safe to be themselves. Who I assumed was one of the owners; an unforgettably sage man with a scruffy beard and cap, answered my questions and educated me in a way a friend may, not a clerk attempting to fleece me on card board. I felt motivated to share my experience months later due to the final interaction I had with this man. Needing to use up a decent amount of store credit and wanting to treat myself to a piece of sentiment of my experience, I asked him for his opinion on the two cards I was debating between. He explained to me how due to a recent leak in future product, there was potential that one of the cards I had selected will become cheaper in a few months. Knowing his card will likely decrease in value if he doesnât sell soon, he immediately told me the smart decision to make. This is exactly what I did, and his predictions were recently proven correct. Purchased 2 packs of the latest set and opened the cards he had warded me not to invest in months prior. A prophecy fulfilled. These types of experiences in life are too easily overlooked, and lately I try to remind myself of times where Iâve felt that people can do something that is âgood.â Magic and hobby experts may find something to nitpick about, but from an amateur lover of the experience of MTG, who found himself in your store for a few days some months ago, I think you people are doing a good thing. I find it deserving of a full account of my experience and satisfaction⌠thanks Dragon Master Games. kid in the dirty...
Read moreWe love this place! Just about every Friday my daughter and I are here with her father to play MTG on the second floor. Feel free to stop in and bring your kids even if you're not into cards there are several games you can play located across from the bathroom. Keep the courtesy by cleaning up after you're done and putting the games back on the shelf.
On the first floor there are at least 3 employees there at least every time I've been there. You can sell and purchase cards right on their systems and the orders are done quite swiftly! They have other card games not just MTG, they also have POP character, ways to create you own land and characters, they have snacks and drinks for sale also.
Everything is so orderly, it's hard to really miss anything and it's even harder to not stop and look at everything there...
Read moreGood prices, probably the best in the area as far as local game stores go. Couldn't really get a full read on the place as I was being followed around the store by the workers/owner(?) the entire time and felt super hovered over so I left a lot sooner than I wanted to.
Very uncomfortable. I get that you have to watch your stock, especially in this business. But after straight up stalking us through the store as we are just browsing and even after I tried to diffuse a bit by asking for specific prices on booster boxes, you think you could chill a bit.
The loft playing area looked cool, didn't get a chance to go look at it. Likely won't be coming back unless my friends ever wanted to come play here, but we'll probably just go to Jupiter Games instead so at least I can browse without feeling...
