Very disappointing, to say the least. My boyfriend and I, both 18 years old, decided to have a fun night at SkyZone during the Glow Zone special with his 14 year old sister. We bought our tickets online, and because it was the glow special we paid for the ticket price of the night and were required to buy a Glow Zone shirt. Upon arriving, we noticed that there were many children jumping, at least 120+ kids there. There were 3 birthday parties and almost every single trampoline and zone in that park were occupied. It would've been fine if not for the proper supervision that all of these children should've been under. I, myself, am a 5"1 female and have 14-15 year old boys easily taller than me, so it is not out of the realm for me to be a participant at this trampoline park. Children in here ranged from about 5-17 years old, and I had kids from all ages grabbing our ankles, pushing me, climbing in between the nets, joining me on the trampoline and running between my legs on purpose to make me stumble and fall. I understand that this is what children do and it falls on the parents to supervise, however the employees at this establishment seemed to completely disregard the rules that are posted at every single point about trampoline safety. They watched as I was grabbed by the ankles and pushed, saying nothing to these children but instead came over to me and told me I wasn't wearing the proper socks (I was wearing Get Air socks- also a trampoline park) and I couldn't jump unless I bought SkyZone specific socks (which is a 5-7 dollar surcharge).
It is to my understanding that there are numerous rules to follow in the park and in order to jump you have to sign a waiver. The waiver identifies that all minors under the age of 13 MUST have a parent or guardian supervision at all times. Was this the case for hundreds of children? Absolutely not. There were probably a dozen or so parents present. Since the park is so strict on the rules, I may add some rules that the employees were negligent of during my time at the park:
"Do not double bounce or affect another jumper’s bounce in anyway." "Do not run or race across the trampoline courts." "Do not push or tackle "Do not touch any perimeter netting or top pads." "No aggressive behavior"
To top it off, nowhere in the waiver I signed did it state that I was not allowed to have a refund. We spent $126.86 during the glow zone for 2 hours of jumping and a REQUIRED 10 dollar shirt each. When I asked for a refund, I was told I could not get one and instead got two 90 minute jumping passes and one 60 minute jumping pass. Those do not make up for 126 dollars spent that went down the drain. I am also sure that SkyZone has a maximum capacity and there should be a limit to how many passes are sold for a certain jumping time frame, but it appears that the birthday parties were not accounted for and there were just way too many jumpers present. I did not enjoy my time here and I was not in any way impressed by the employees or the manager that was present during my time...
Read moreI recently had our daughters 8th birthday at SkyZone. We booked because weeks before we attended a party and it was great. So my daughter asked if she could do the same and I said sure and got all the information to call and schedule.
When I called to schedule the gentleman on the phone was so helpful and pleasant. He even gave us a extra pizza for free because we were inviting a few extra kids over their smaller sized party limit. (12 kids).. I paid a deposit and sent invites.
Come party day we arrived at 3:50 for her 4pm party. Arrival was between 4 & 4:30 for guests and the kids had a 90 minute jump time. We stood with our party guests parents at the bleachers by the door from 4pm until 5pm as a room was not ready yet. I asked numerous times when it would be ready and the response was basically that it needed to be cleaned. So picture about 12-14 parents standing at the bleachers with their children's belongings as their kids went off to play.
In the hour that we stood there with the cake, presents, my 1 yearly and alllll of the kids shoes, coats, socks, etc the kids had come back probably 3-4 times looking for drinks as they were hot from Jumping. Finally my husband asked to speak to a manager. Noah, the manager, came out and gave us a cart for all of our belongings and told Is our room would be ready shortly. In the meantime I went and bought Gatorade's and water from a vending machine to give the kids.
Finally around 5:10 we were in the party room and I had to go ask for pitchers of Water & cups For the kids who were still very thirsty. I had to bring the pitcher back to the concession stand 2x for refills and both times I rang a bell and no one came until I went and found someone elsewhere.
Our party was nothing like the one we attended the weeks prior. I served the kids, food, drinks and cupcakes. I picked up after most of the kids and I also had to go looking for our party host a few times. If I wanted to be bothered with all of it I would have just held the party at my home.
For the $$ we spent I did not think it was...
Read moreWe will not be coming back. Adam the manager here finds it appropriate for 5 year old girls to be smacked in the face by a ball in their dodge ball area by a much older child while staff watches and says nothing and my daughter is hysterically crying. When she went to the foam pit she fell in too far and couldn't get up when I asked the employee who was monitoring the area to help my daughter I was ignored. She stood watching as my daughter yelled for help the entire time and did nothing to assist. My nephew ran to help her out and the employee turns to me and says only one at a time. I explained my daughter was stuck and needed help and she again repeated that only one at a time was allowed. I asked why it was she didn't help hwr or allow me to help her and was ignored. When I asked to speak to a district manager after talking to the woman who was the operations manager she gave me a card with Adams name and the number to skyzone.. I asked when would be a good time to reach him and she says he is here now. Why I wasn't offered to speak with him initially I'm not sure. Adam was rude and said what is your complaint this time. He claims to have viewed the tapes and says that the much older child about 10 didn't intend to smack her in the face that it's dodge ball and what do I expect? He also stated that the employee was watching the whole time as my daughter struggled and I said yes that's the point and she did nothing nor did she allow me to assist her. I will NEVER patronize this establishment again. I will also be contacting corporate. If you care about the the safety of your children do not come here because they could care less about your child and...
