DO NOT STAY HERE. I don't know what happened, but this was the worst experience I have ever had at a Marriott property in nearly 20 years of regular, weekly business travel. I hope it was just a fluke but the way the hotel staff handled it was awful. I and my co-worker came for a late check-in at 1am to find they didn't have a room for me, because they hadn't cleaned it. There were no other available rooms but they offered to put me up in a laquinta ten miles away. To which I said, I didn't have a vehicle as I had driven with my co-worker. Finally we got them to put a cott in my co-workers room so we could get some sleep for a 530am wake up. The next day they double charged my credit card and we had to spend about 30 minutes sorting that through and the staff still charged our client for my non existent room from the previous night. The staff then offered rewards points as compensation for both myself and my co-worker, which I waited on before writing this review to see how they would compensate us for the terrible experience. They gave us 1000 points. If you aren't familiar with the points programs that isn't enough for a free room. It's less than the number of points we would have gotten just for the stay. It isn't enough points for anything at all, not even a free drink voucher. I am very dissatisfied in the way they handled it. I highly recommend you stay at another hotel in the area. If you have any issues at this one, not only will they still charge you for their screw up, they won't make any reasonable...
Read moreThe Clifton Park Courtyard staff was exceptionally accommodating and friendly, eager to attend to our many inquiries and requests. The hotel location was perfect for our needs during our stay - shopping, restaurants, highway access. Parking was simple and safe. The room was clean and spacious with many extras, esp. providing more places to put all our stuff! The bathroom even had a vanity magnifying mirror for those of us over 40!!! The bistro provided quick snacks and a perfect latte. The fitness room, although small, contained state of the art and functional equipment right down to the TVs!!! Loved the extra headsets available as I had forgotten mine. The juice, water and nutritious FREE snacks available were a perfect refueling amenity. Thank you very much! Unfortunately, we found the pool quite cold and were disappointed not to be able to use it. One area that needs modification/attention is the shower design. The glass wall needs to be about 4-6 inches longer to prevent shower spray from splashing onto the bathroom floor and causing a slipping hazard. We even adjusted the shower head to try to correct the problem. To avoid an accident, we had to place a few towels on the floor by the shower to absorb the overspray. The rooms were exceptionally quiet with the exception of the heavy doors banging and echoing in the hallway every time...
Read moreWe loved this hotel. The property is well cared for, the interior was spotless. The bed was very comfortable, and it was so nice that the window opened, even if it was just a few inches. It was great to get some upper NY fresh air in the room. The mini fridge was also a great plus. It didnt have a freezer box, but it was still great to have.
The water pressure in the bathroom was terrible, but all of the other aspects outweighed that negative. We stayed in an oversized room, and it was an little bit in the dark side at night. I'm assuming the oversized room had the same lighting as the regular sized rooms. It didn't really cause a problem, just a minor detail. If I would have had to do any work in the room, it may have been a different story. I'm guessing the lighting is a corporate design decision and not under the control of the hotel itself.
Housekeeping was always great. If we left our room in the morning after housekeeping stopped by, we just informed the front desk when we left and housekeeping stopped by a second time to do our room. That was a huge plus.
We stayed at this hotel for the long weekend for our trip to Saratoga. Compared to the places in Saratoga Springs, this hotel was a good value, and it was less than a half hour away from the track and...
