30 PARK Bistro/Bar/Events — Restaurant in Town of Clifton Park

Being fairly new to the area we wanted to step outside the comfort zones and the favorite "go to" spots. After looking at reviews of several local restaurants, we decided to try 30 Park based on its 4.6 Google review.

First impression, I was apprehensive of a hotel restaurant, but decided to continue with our choice. We sat in the bar area which provided the best ambiance...as we could comfortably watch the US Open.

Either I didn't get her name or simply don't remember our servers name...but she, along with our seating and adult bevs were by far the best part of the meal. The server was very attentive and polite.

The disappointment began with our food choices. The food quality was sub-par to say the least. We ordered Clams Casiano for starters followed by Clams with Linguini and a Shimp Linguini special. The clams casino, which should be a baked clam dish was more of a clams provincial in a broth. The freshness of the clams were questionable as some (not all) were rather strong tasting. At this point I immediately regretted my Clam Linguini dinner choice. I can only say it was not my expectation of a $25 Clams Linguini would be. Similarly, the Shrimp Linguini special was equally disappointing at $20. Although plentiful, the Shrimp were small and appeared as though they had been sitting, again not fresh. Both dishes lacked flavor and creativity. However, because it was getting late, we were hungry and not wanting to waste $55 per person, we did eat most of our meals.

At $55 per person, we will return to our other "go-to's" and seek out other new choices. 30 Park will be a once and done. Would have given a 2.5 if it...

Walking in the entrance to the restaurant is locked and you have to enter through the hotel. A little awkward. Then you get into the hotel and there is a wall made of furniture and fake plants that could of been done nicer.

The following are all things that can be fixed or tweaked to make the experience that much better and help upsell for the establishment:

Server was preoccupied at bar talking with guests seated there...

Lighting was a bit much at the high tops...

The TV's were all on different channels which made it feel like there was too much going on combined with the music choice.

Music choice was an odd radio station that played heavy metal to r and b.

Drinks came slower then they should have...wife had two glasses of wine and she wasn't driving so could of gotten her to go for four if I'm being honest.
