I would say avoid just store GameStop in general. It was a pain in the butt to buy two PlayStation pros for our household. We had to use a separate address for my 15 year-old son at his grandmother‘s because they refused to sell us two in the same house. God forbid more than one person wants a PlayStation. The scalping of 2020 is over. Cut the crap.
Secondly, I find the new guys there to be quite rude. They are quite short and quick to oversell you on things. I walked in there the other day to get a couple of headsets for me and my wife. The first thing they went to was a $250 A50 headset. I opted for the $50 ones thank God, A10’s. I tried mine out, but my wife didn’t open hers. I wasn’t thrilled so I went back to return it today, and wouldn’t you know it, they have a zero return policy on anything opened. Anything. So I returned hers and took mine back, and that was that. I was going to buy a dualsense edge wireless controller for PS5, but it’s $199.99 and that kind of asking make me a little weary. I’ll keep it if I love it, but IDK. I had asked about that and he said nope that’s not coming back either if you buy and open it. Well, I brought my arse right over to Walmart and they have a 30 day return policy on all of their electronics whether it’s open or not. I got my controller there! The guy in Clifton Park’s GameStop argued with me saying that everywhere had this no return policy, and that’s just not true. I would encourage all of you to purchase all of your game accessories at a different location. The only thing I would recommend to buy at GameStop is their game systems and get the two year warranty replacement plan because you can exchange it right in the store with no questions asked. I believe Best Buy may have something similar, and I know they have a 60 day return policy for those who have their membership, so I would look into that above GameStop. This place used to be good, but now they’re just pushing themselves right out of the market with their stringent policies and terrible attitudes. I had another unrelated incident where I had a game on reserve, and they got rid of it on me. It was a collectors edition, and it was difficult to find a second one, so when I called to complain it fell on deaf ears for three months until I finally got the district manager to return my call and I got a little bit of a credit...

I went in to buy trading cards with Markus the store manager I was shopping with him for years since he was in Troy. I get there to find out he's gone and the crossgates manager moved over to Clifton Park and shes now running it. And God shes horrible. I heard an employee on the phone with her gossiping and insulting the former manager like that's extremely unprofessional. What makes matters worse I went there to buy trading cards like I said and I couldn't even get to the cards because there was a massive pill of trash on the floor I wish I told a phone it was horrible it blocked almost half the store including the trading card section. The staff couldn't even move it for me so I could take a look. Don't go to this location unless u want to hear gossiping garbage of a unsecure staff that hates their jobs. And talks about missing product with customers like they are able to fix it. Like I don't care if u have missing product I came to look at cards and find out when the next drops are.
You all need to grow up and GameStop need to retrain the manager to not to spend time when not there having her staff talk on the phone gossiping and just do their jobs.
I would give no stars if possible. They are rude and fake pretend to help and only want...
Read moreI requested to see a game in the case, the manager gets it out. I wanted to inspect the game, in this case pokemon fire red since there are many fakes out and this copy looked off. There was a long lone behind me so I suggested that perhaps they can help other customers as I simply step to the side next to the counter and look up real vs fake signifiers. The manager snapped at me and said its against store policy that anything outside of the case can be taken from the counter. I said i was simply examining the game and would be next to the counter, but for the sake of the customers behind me please help them first. The manager kept repeating the same sentence, unwilling to actually converse about it. I then proceeded to hold up the line and discovered that the copy they had was indeed fake. I brought this up to the manager (after him berating a customer on the phone who wanted to exchange broken equipment that they had purchased, and then he complained about other stores asking him for help in a very unprofessional manner), and the manager scoffed and I just left. My experiences at the closed latham gamestop was always extremely positive but sheesh, this almost made me not want to ever go to...
