Went to the shop in Oceanside. I have to first start off saying that when we walked in looking for a prom dress(which cost $500, the relevance of this will be describe below), the attention and service was amazing. My daughter found a dress, we ordered it and it came earlier than they said it would which was GREAT!!
Today we went to pick up her dress. They brought out the dress in a ripped plastic dress bag. My daughter tried it on, not one salesperson came to help us asking if we need help with anything like alterations or if everything was to our liking. My daughter took the dress off and hung it on the hanger. She waited for someone to come and ask if she needed a garment bag so she can take it home, so my daughter wrapped the dress in the same piece of plastic that had holes in it and left. When she came out to the car. I noticed that it was the same ripped plastic bag over this very expensive dress. I then took the dress back inside and spoke with the owners daughter asking her if I can get another cover for my daughterâs dress I said this one has holes in it. Her response to me was thatâs the way it came from the manufacturer. I then said to her OK but I bought it from you so can I get another cover ? I donât know something where the dress is not going to be dragging on the floor she seemed very annoyed, but she gave me another plastic covering. Iâm sorry but spending $500 on a dress and you come out like you got it cleaned from the dry cleaners instead of a boutique to me makes no sense. I told her that even Macyâs gives garment bags when you buy a $200 dress, I donât think I am asking for much as to put a very beautiful dress in a garment bag it was poor service picking up the dress. We got better service when we were looking for the dress so my thoughts are now that you got the money. we are less of a client? I was very disappointed to say the least. My daughter has referred and recommended ask Alice in Oceanside to all of her friends. The quality of service after your dress is purchased and you go and pick it up should be addressed. It was so distasteful and...
Read moreI am writing to share my concerns regarding a recent experience my daughters had at this boutique, which turned out to be quite disappointing.
What was intended to be an enjoyable shopping experience became uncomfortable due to a lack of courtesy and proper customer service. Upon arrival, my daughterâs were not greeted with a warm welcome; instead, while looking for a dress & seeing one that caught her eye immediately she was approached & told that she could not try on that dress because it was priced at $1,000 There was no effort to engage her with questions about her interests or budget.
This dismissive approach was echoed by the owner, Diana, which further contributed to an awkward atmosphere. It was disheartening to feel that they were being judged based solely on assumptions regarding our financial capability. Such treatment is not reflective of good customer service and left my daughter feeling uncomfortable.
Additionally, I noticed other customers and staff observing this interaction, which exacerbated the situation. Fortunately, they did receive some kindness from Kayla, a team member who was accommodating and respectful, for the little time they were there but this was not the norm during the visit.
Given the boutiqueâs âpositive reputationâ and its ability to attract visitors from far away, I expected a more inviting environment. After discussing my concerns with the owner, it was clear that my feedback was not taken seriously, leading to further disappointment.
Regrettably, I felt compelled to leave this review. I hope that my experience serves as constructive feedback to improve customer interactions in the future. A more personalized approach would undoubtedly enhance the shopping experience for...
Read moreLove this shop. They showered attention and care on my daughter, treating her like a member of their own family. The salespersons seemed more like two sisters and one mother than store clerks. After talking to my daughter and helping her strap up several gowns, Diana pulled one off the rack and told me this is the one your daughter will want. I did not know it myself, but she was 100% right--because my daughter fell in love with the dress instantly without hearing our conversation; and she had it at a beautiful price. Always go to a brick-and-mortar shop for this type of purchase. There's no way around trying a dress on and knowing that it is the right one. Diana's assistants even helped my daughter search social media to make sure that no one else in her class had posted the same dress. They seemed to have a photographic memory about the dresses purchased in our district, outside of Oceanside. I was amazed. Overall, so many dresses for so many occasions, so much individualized care, assistance and generosity. This shop...
