Can someone please tell me why when they are insistent that they open at 10am and only take appointments starting at 10am, when there are plenty of women already washed snd getting their haircuts and/or blow outs before 10am? I’ve been told they have availability at 9:50am - if you push the issue. But to have that many people already being serviced?? It’s like an unspoken game being played for those in the know. So, if you arrive earlier than 10am you’ll be taken anyway? I like this place in general, but the games played - including double booking so there’s a long wait even with an appointment - is frustrating. Too many times the ladies there who wash hair seemed anloof and tired. It’s not as friendly as others have mentioned in their reviews. They just seems overworked. The vibe is more like a factory and robotic. If you’re fine with that, then the prices are reasonable and the quality of the cuts are decent to very good, depending on who you get ( I have my two favorites who take the time to understand what I want) This place seems more popular with quick, in and out curling iron styles. They love curling irons here. Overall, the way it’s managed needs to improve. I shouldn’t have reasons to feel tense and frustrated with how it’s run when I’m the paying customer, tip generously out of good will, and...
Read moreDirty brushes, Rude people, hair looks Frizzy 1.The lady who washed my hair used her nails, which can damage the hair follicle. I went to get a clean towel to dry off my shampoo bottle. A lady said "no,no" and pointed to the waistbin that had dirty towels. The brushes were filled with other people's hair. My son is allergic to nuts so I needed to read the ingredients of what cha cha was using in my hair. He gave me a face like he was annoyed the first time. The second time he put some oil in his hands and went to touch my hair, I said no. I need to read the ingredients. He wiped the oil on my towel. After I read the ingredients I said "okay, this is fine to use." He said "bye." And didn't put the oil on my hair. I get there might have been a language barrier but don't give me a dirty look because you don't understand me. I myself speak 3 languages. I know how tough it can be when you don't speak the language well, but don't be rude if you don't understand. When I got home it was already frizzy which happens to my hair if it's not dried all the way through. I got my brush and redid the blowout since it was frizzy.
No I don't want a free blowout. I will not be coming to this...
Read moreI’ve came here twice before for my own hair to be wash, cut and styled and I was pretty happy with the man who did my hair the second time, Kelvin. He did a good job and the price was very reasonable.
I brought my niece for a wash, cut and blow out today and somehow, I got charged more for her services than I did mine as an adult. I was told over the phone that it would cost $35 for her since she is under 10 but I ended up getting charged $45 when it came time to pay. I didn’t argue as I was happy with how her hair came out regardless and I figured maybe her length had something to do with it.
Regardless, I was planning on leaving the stylist a kinder tip than what I ended up leaving until I was hit with the extra $10 that I was reserving for the tip (left a $5 tip for the person who washed her hair and only $5 for the stylist) I planned on leaving the stylist a $10 tip but I guess they didn’t know the correct price. Sorry @ stylist but you might have shot yourself in the...
